I have been using water flosser for many years and I like the ease of use and the way they clean. I wanted to try the Quip flosser for the compact and cordless design. Less clutter!

The flosser was sleek looking and used magnetic charging cable. Easy to attach. It charged in a few hours and was ready to go. The flosser was very easy to hold, not awkward at all. It is comfortable and easy to manipulate to get all the teeth and hard to reach places. I was surprised how comfortable and simple it was. There was a lot of thought that went into the design of the flosser. You can choose you strength of pressure and then go.

The flosser comes with one replacement tip, but more can be ordered through Quip when needed. The only thing I would have liked is perhaps more tips and a selection of tips, such as a brush tip too. But perhaps that will come with time.

This is a good water flosser, especially for someone just starting out.

This is a water flosser. I’ve used water flossers before and this one is no different.
This one is easy to charge. A magnetic clip on the bottom is easy to attach. I then plugged in the USB connector into my USB charger. Do note that the USB charger is not included. It took a couple of hours to fully charge. The water tank is easy to fill. Just flip open the top and fill with tap water. The power button turns it on. The lower button is a toggle for low/high water pressure. The low seemed to work better for me.
It does use a lot of water, or maybe I used it too slowly. I had to refill the water tank to finish.
Also, it does make a mess. If you can use this while in the shower, then great, otherwise there will be water all over the sink area.

I have been using a water flosser faithfully for the past couple of years and wanted to switch out my old model for a new one (and with a more recognizable name brand like quip). This water flosser is perfectly fine. The water reservoir has a nice capacity, it’s a bit more gentle compared to the last flosser I used, and it feels fine in my hand to maneuver. I do think water flossers have evolved so much in the past few years and a lot of high quality ones are available at a lower price point than this one. I’ve been happy with other quip products, so I imagine this will last awhile.

I’ve been wanting a water flosser for a while now, hoping it will inspire me to floss my teeth more. This one is easy to use, small (which is crucial in our tiny bathroom) and thus unobtrusive. It charged quickly and I like that it came with a replacement pick. I know that it is going to take some getting used to, but so far I’m a big fan!

The media could not be loaded.

This design of this water flosser has promise, but overall the execution falls short.
For how expensive it is (roughly double that of similar products) it’s a bit disappointing.

It has an attractive form factor and is comfortable in the hand.
The buttons require a firm push, but they aren’t difficult to press. It helps avoid inadvertent activation, or pressure mode changing while in use. I’ve accidentally sprayed my mirror, shower door, or my face, while using other brands with hair trigger power buttons.
Having a tubeless reservoir keeps it from rattling, allows for a more compact unit and avoids potential mold issues which can occur with soft rubber tubes.
The reservoir is nondetachable and fills via a flip top. It’s quick and easy to fill.
The tips “attach” magnetically, but they don’t fully seat when you drop them in. They require you to push down until they click. On my first attempt at using this, I only dropped it in until the magnet caught, which resulted in a wet mess.

There are only two pressure settings: Deep clean and Gentle.
“Deep clean” seems to be fairly effective for me, without any discomfort to my gums, but feels more like the normal setting on most other water flossers. I have to make a few passes to feel like I really cleaned an area.
The “gentle” setting is definitely appropriately named. It’s too low for me to feel like it’s accomplishing much, but I suppose someone with extreme sensitivity issues would appreciate the setting.

Unfortunately, the reservoir is undersized in my opinion. It seems to be about 150mL, roughly half of my previous water flosser’s capacity.
This results in me either running out of water before I can finish thoroughly flossing my teeth, or having to rush the job, to avoid running out of water before the thing runs dry.
I typically just refill and continue to floss.
If the capacity were 50% or even 25% larger, it would help avoid this issue, without changing the form factor too much. It would also be an opportunity to make the bottom flare out a little bit, to make the flosser more stable. I’ve only had the unit a little while and I’ve already had it get knocked over several times.

The charging cable plugs into a standard USB-A style charger (not included), but the end that attaches to the flosser is a proprietary magnetic attachment, in a day and age when pretty much all devices are going to USB-C. Now if I travel long term, I need to drag along another cable and if I misplace this one, I need to buy a replacement (for $15), rather than using one of my dozens of readily available USB-C cables.
On the topic of expensive replacement components, the replacement tips for this are $8 each, or $7 each, on a 3 month subscription. You can get 6-10 replacement tips in multi packs for most other brands of flossers for the same price as one of these tips.

Overall, this flosser works, but in my opinion, not well enough to warrant its high price tag.
You’re basically paying for the name and fancy appearance (they have copper colored and all-black models which cost even more).

    Pros:
    Comfortable to hold and use
Firm button presses avoid unintentional activation or setting changes
Pressure settings are not too strong
    Attractive design
    Easy to replace tips
    Easy to fill
    Tubeless reservoir
Quick charging and long battery life

    Cons:
Pressure options may be too weak for some people
Uses proprietary magnetic charging cable, instead of USB-C standard
Reservoir is too small for thorough cleaning (only about 150mL)
Small footprint makes it easy to knock over
High price and very expensive replacement tips

I have had several water pics the past two years, each with their strength and weaknesses. This Quip is no exception. On the plus side, it’s small, compact, easy to handle and store away or if you leave it on the counter it takes up very little space. I also like that the tank is a top load, making it easy to fill. The trade offs are in the packability you get a smaller tank and may need to fill at least twice every time you want to floss your teeth. Also, there are two water pressures. One is quite gentle and the other more vigorous. In fact, if you really want one that squirts strong, this one wins the prize. For me, it was a tad too strong, but I’d rather it be that than too weak. The choices are basic and simple. I would have liked a medium flow personally, but the choices were basically hard or gentle. The unit comes with two tips, which should last a long time. I really like tips with a brush, but these are not that, though they should work fine. Overall, this could be a five star for the right person, depending on the features you like most, but for me it just missed the mark.

The quip Water Flosser is a simple design that is easy to use. Just fill the water reservoir and it is ready to go. It charges through USB – a magnetic cord included. The flosser has two water pressure options and two water flow settings. The tip swivels to reach tight areas, and an extra tip is included. Overall, it works fine and is compact enough to take along when traveling.
