Still have to use a razor afterwards. Update: my original review was three stars because when I first tried the Groomie, the rotation of the blades seemed to be slow and dragging resulting in a lack of performance. I had to use a razor after using the Groomie. However, despite the review, the seller was on point and reached out to me about the issue. The seller without hesitation offered to send me a replacement. Good customer service is important when conducting business and the seller addressed the issue promptly. Thank you!

I saw a lot of marketing on this shaver, so I tried it. I took it out of the box as soon as it arrived. It worked nicely. I started checking it out to learn how to use it. As soon as I removed the magnetic head blade (I thought, this is great, easy cleaning). It was cool when it snapped back on. I did this a couple of times, then the nightmare started. I noticed it was making a different sound. I then noticed that the blades were no longer spinning. I took out the attachment and turned it on and it was turning, but as soon as I put on the shaver attachment I saw the base turning, but as soon as I put on the blade cover, it did not turn. Imagine, you will be using this every day, and the fact that “it might or might not” work simply by removing the blade attachment is unacceptable. It also does not shave as close as their ads say.

Love this shaver. Was skeptical when making decision to shave my head but this shaver makes it very easy. Easy and simple to use and clean. Highly recommend. Can use with or without shaving cream, can use in the shower or out of the shower. Perfect shaver for bald heads.

I really like how the blades come off as one and that it is magnetic. The blades are super close to to the shave guards making for a pretty smooth shave. I have found it works best with shaving cream ( I use Cremo shave cream, about the size of a nickel, literally 1 tube will last me 9 months ) battery could last a little longer I find I am charging every 3 days ( if mine goes below 30% seems to struggle. I also like that you can order replacement blades.

The unit itself is comfortable to hold. It charges quickly and the better life is good. Gets behind the ears and other tough places. It’s severely underpowered. The RPM sounds like a cheep toy and not a serious shaver. Take way longer than a blade and not even close to being, as close of a shave. If you’re expecting a replacement for the blade, look elsewhere.
Update. Completely stopped blade rotation. This is a joke is a product. Look elsewhere.

I was on the fence about purchasing an electric head shaver but this has been a good decision. I used to use a regular buzzer to cut my hair- took about 15 min of back and forth. This shaver- I’m done I’m 5 minutes and it’s much closer and I can shave my head more often. It’s really easy to clean and the additional accessories come in handy. Only issue is battery life but I can get about 3 shaves before I have to charge which brings it down to 50 min left or so. Overall great product

Not a super powerful little system. It also doesn’t come with the case, you have to pay extra for that. Strike one. Also, after a couple of weeks of use, the head doesn’t want to really stay closed anymore. The little individual nodes want to pop right back open again, so you might have to close them repeatedly during a shave.
Doesn’t self-sharpen, so the heads are disposable and only last a few months. I haven’t replaced this one yet because I’m not sure I’m sticking with this system or getting something a little higher quality. It’s fine for what it is, though.
It does also take a while to get a clean shave. I do like that you can use it wet. (At least I have been.) I also use it with shaving cream, I don’t like dry shaving or just using oil.
It’s fairly versatile, but it is a budget option.
