This trimmer is similar to my Norelco Oneblade. The razer head has extremely fine cutting teeth on it. I found it’s best to move slowly for to ensure a clean cut, to avoid overwhelming the fine cutting teeth and getting hairs snagged. You have to be careful using the blade on this without the guard when cleaning up the edges of the facial hair, because I inadvertently gave myself razer burn with it. This is a nice capable trimmer, but I personally prefer my Oneblade just a “hair” better 😉

I got this trimmer for beard maintenance and I am very happy with the results. I like the many options I have for length and the ability of this trimmer to help line up my beard.

I tried using it as a razor with shaving lotion and it worked well but I prefer the closeness of using a razor. Just a personal preference.

This shaver/trimmer is very much like an upgrade version of the Philips OneBlade. So if you like that style of shaver you’ll probably like this one.

It is not robust enough to easily trim back a full beard, nor does it give a blade-close shave. Rather, it is great at cleaning up the edges, and it does an adequate job shaving. I like it because it can handle a week’s worth of stubble better than my foil shaver can.

Compared to the Philips OneBlade, the Supply Trimmer has a smoother, more powerful motor, and seems to have very good build quality.

The blade is more aggressive than the Philips, with a bit more irritation–although not so much as to be an issue. A little shaving cream would probably help, if you want to go to that much trouble for a slightly stubbly shaving result.

Compared to the Philips OneBlade 360 Pro, the Supply Trimmer costs $10 more, but includes a charging base (a big plus IMO). Replacement blades for the Supply Trimmer cost $20 for two, plus shipping from the company website (not available on Amazon as of this writing), while Philips replacement blades cost $35 for three. Philips recommends replacing their blade every 4 months, while Supply recommends replacing every 3-4 months (assuming twice-weekly shaves). So in terms of blade cost, it seems to be pretty much a toss-up.

I shave a couple times a week, and don’t require a super close shave. I shave, trim my moustache sideburns, and eyebrows, and both Supply and Philips do a good-enough job for my needs. Again, though, this style of shaver can’t equal a real beard trimmer for real beard trimming, and can’t equal a blade or even a decent electric for closeness. It is a convenient shaver for semi-regular shaving.

As for value, the charging base is worth the extra $10 initial price tag to me. The performance is as expected, and I think I’ll retire my Philips OneBlade for the time being.

Update: After a couple more shaves, I am finding the skin irritation to be more significant, and finding that the blade is not effective at cleanly clearing a few days’ stubble on my not-heavy beard. Shaving cream might make a difference, but I’m not interested in going to that much trouble.
With a better blade, this might be a winner. But as it is, I’m afraid it will end up going to charity and I’ll return to using my OneBlade from Philips. Removing one star from original rating.

I bought this one and a competitors. You probably know the one but I won’t mention it. I used both. Each on half of my face. This one is terrible in comparison. Even not in comparison. It cut my skin near my mustache and chin. It struggled to cut the hair on my neck efficiently when used as directed. It irritated my skin. I really don’t have anything positive to say about it. It is not smooth at shaving. The ease of use is poor due to poor blade flexibility and just poor cutting in general. They should’ve spent less money on advertising and more on research and development. Spend your money on a better product.

Powerful trimmer in terms of motor and battery life, i like that.
Says it can “Shave, Edge, or Trim wet or dry…”
Shave it does that, but doesn’t get a close as a razor does – most items don’t.
More or a shaping tool than an actual shaver, which is the main reason I got it. I wanted an easy SHAVE but i still need a standard razor to clean up the hair. It gets a lot closer than a normal trimmer normally would but its not a replacement.

    Pros
    – Strong trimmer motor
    – Battery life
    – Adjustable guard and stays on, also a little harder to remove
    – Aesthetic is nice!
    Cons
    – Spring tension on swivel head is too strong and pushes into the skin, making it easy to cut so go slow and dont push and simply follow curves of skin instead of relying on a swivel style head like other trimmers.
    – stand is easy to knock over, i believe it needs to be a little heavier.
    – Similar shape to

Don’t use on private parts IT IS NOT A ONE BLADE, soft flexible skin can flex into the shaver part and cut, found that out in a not so good way lol. not gonna take off points for that since its not designed for that.

Over all not bad, just falls a little short of my expectations considering the price.

The fact that this trimmer can give me a near clean shave was very impressive. I actually looked like I shaves with a razor. It also comes with an adjustable guard with different length options. The battery lasts a surprisingly long time also. Only thing I wasn’t a big fan of was having to go over certain areas a few times cause it didn’t trim all the hair the first time. I found if I got at it from different angles it does get them, but I did have to go over a couple spots like 2 or 3 times.

This is a very effective shaver for a few days’ growth. It’s versatile that it can be used in the shower. The shaver unit is of nice quality and fits in the hand well. My husband used it to dry shave his face. It did a great job. It works best on tougher skin. He did get a little razor burn on more sensitive areas of his body. He was unaware it was waterproof at the time. Using in the shower, when wet, with shaving cream, you can get a closer shave and avoid razor burn.
