I’ve been looking all over for a product that treats Ingrown Hair after you shave & also doesn’t contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. I looked at every soap at Meijer’s and then I only found ONE bar of soap that is made by everything that came out of mother nature. I think it’s made by Tom’s Soap. Which I stopped using the bars of soap long time ago because I read an article over a decade ago that bars of soap are the worst kinds of soap to use, unless you care for it properly. So that’s what I’m doing which is 1. Buy a soap dish that has holes on the bottom of it & a lid to enclose the bar of soap. 2. Do NOT use a louffa unless you plan on throwing it into your washer machine in HOT water & wash it after u use it EVERY TIME after u use it. So get rid of the louffa. 3. Use 2 washcloths soaped up with your organic soap on both washcloths. FIRST use one to wash & rinse your face, then soap it up again & wash your private parts below real good & then rinse with the HOTTEST water that you can stand. If you don’t have a handheld shower spray, GET ONE. They are the easiest way to rinse off all the soap in all the creases and corners. 4. Use the 2 2nd washcloth to wash your entire body with, from dead to toes. Always start at the top & work your way down. Then rinse. 5. Get a big, fluffy, soft towel and take extra special care to your private area. Do NOT rub the towel all up and in there. Pat your pubic your pubic mound dry. 6. Then push the pump only ONE TIME because it goes a LONG WAYS. Then for the ladies spread it ALL over where you may shave your pubic hair off. Do NOT rub it into your vagina, if you do you better have a phone nearby because your embarrassed self is going to have to call poison control. Do NOT douche. This product may burn for a few minutes while it’s trying to dry. I like to lay back on my bed with legs spread and a fan blowing down on it. Then it stays on all night, at least 8 hrs then wash it off with the soap and washcloth. Let yourself thoroughly dry down there. Then you can put a lotion on the area just incase. Use the Aveeno lotion that does NOT have SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE or any kind of SULFUR/SULFATE in it.

Overall, this product is good and easy to use for both men and women.

I’m a redhead with thick hair, and an inherited ingrown facial hair problem. I’ve been plagued with these painful monstrosities since I started shaving in my teens, and have had only limited success when switching to an electric shaver in an attempt to prevent them. I love the closeness of a shave with an actual razor, but that’s never been an option because it causes me to break out in ingrown hairs days later–especially if I ever go without shaving for a day.
This stuff really works. I can’t even contain how happy I am that it does. It stings a very small amount (but it’s no worse than topical acne medication or tweezing hairs out of your face–I actually positively associate the feeling now because it just reminds me that it’s working). It’s a little expensive, but being able to maintain a consistently clear face for the first time since childhood is easily worth it. You’ll probably start noticing results within the first couple days. If you keep using it daily, you’ll maintain a clear face. I started shaving my face while taking a hot shower in the morning (to keep more pores open), and then when I get out, I immediately dry my face and rub this on it. I then wash it off after about ten minutes. If you’re suffering from ingrown hairs and have yet to find anything that works like it’s been marketed to, I highly recommend this.

Klare Empfehlung!

I suffer from ingrown hairs on the face, really annoying ones on the upper cheek part and this stuff is amazing. My skin was getting so bad I would have little red marks from where I had used a needle to force the ingrown hair out. I now wash my face and add this on in the evening before I go to bed, or when I am at home and I know I am not doing anything (going out in public etc). This stuff really calms the irritation down, and reduces the ingrown hairs that would normally come. It also helps reduce the swelling of current ingrown hairs. I really cant recommend this anymore. If you suffer from ingrown hairs this will help. It will not get rid of them, I dont think anything will. However it will reduce the amount you get and will help sort out the ones you have now. Now that I dont shave and have grown a beard, my skin is so much better than it was before. This is a truly great product.

I have had painful ingrown hairs for a while and have tried everything including Tendskin. None of these items have had such an effect as this one. It has really made a huge difference and I would not want to be without my bottle.

I bought it and had to wait months to use it, and did not regret it. It serves its purpose. Thank you

TL;DR Doesn’t work miracles or make up for terrible shaving technique/crappy razors, but it is the top product I’ve found for treating/preventing ingrown hairs.

This is the best salicylic acid ingrown hair treatment I’ve found. I’ve always struggled with ingrown hairs on my neck after shaving. While I think the biggest improvements have come from switching to a double edge razor for more control and switching to shaving every other day, this stuff does a great job preventing ingrown hairs.

From my research it seems like the salicylic acid is the key ingredient here, but other SA based lotions I’ve found have a tendency to cause painful burning, have a strong nasty smell, and dry out skin. This does burn a little when applied right after shaving but it’s pretty mild. It has no smell, and while I use an SPF face moisturizer after applying, it doesn’t feel like it dries my skin out anyways. Plus it simply works better at preventing ingrown hairs than anything else I’ve found.

Personally I apply it after shaving obviously, but also at night as it seems to work best for me when applied regularly in between shaving.

It is fairly pricy I suppose, but a bottle last me for months and one pump is more than enough to cover the shaved areas on my face, not just my neck.
