I ordered this and it took about a week to arrive. The first one they sent was the open comb version by mistake. The return process was straight forward and easy. A week later I received the correct close comb razor.
The packaging is very good so there was no damage to the razor or other contents inside the box. I like that a stand is included along with a cleaning cloth and five tucks of blades (11 blades per tuck) for you to try. The stand is heavy, stabile and works very well. The machining of the razor is excellent. The finish is extremely nice as well. Every part of the device is well engineered and produced. It looks very nice and much more expensive than it actually is. It feels nice in my hand and I enjoy the heft of it. I really like the two piece design and the adjustability of the razor which is a main reason I bought this instead of a Merkur 34C type of design. The adjustment is fast and efficient and I prefer that over the Rockwell R6C type of razor which is a three piece design that has to be disassembled for adjustment. The blade gap isn’t uneven and the handle doesn’t rattle so I think the issues from the earliest versions have been well resolved now. I’m really happy with it.
I’m new to wet shaving with a DE safety razor but I did a ton of research before choosing the Flexi. I decided on an adjustable razor because I didn’t want to end up buying several razors so I could cover all of the bases in regard to aggressiveness. Depending on time between shaves, how many passes I’m making, how quickly I need to shave etc. I may need or want a more or less aggressive blade gap. The Flexi can do it all in a manner that is quick, simple and smooth. Plus it looks great!
So how does it shave? That depends. As I said, I’m new to wet shaving so I’m still looking for the right blade for my skin and beard type. I’m also still learning the technique. The more I use it, the better my shaves get. Once you learn how to hold it, it even details nicely. The handle is a good length for my hand and the knurling is just right so it is comfortable to hold and doesn’t feel slippery. The adjustment feature is very smooth with no notches so you can freely adjust it to any point you like. Changing blades is easy as well.
If you are new to DE safety razors like me, (I shaved with a Mach III for over 30 years) be aware that there is a leaning curve. Don’t put much pressure on the razor. Let the weight of the tool do most of the work. Hold it at a shallow angle to your face (the top cap should be touching your face) and watch carefully to make sure you maintain that angle. Take short strokes and don’s get in a hurry. Pick a good blade brand and stick with it until you get the hang of DE shaving. You can experiment with different blades after you know what you’re doing and find what works best for you. I’ve found that starting at setting three on the first pass and dialing it down to two for the second pass works well. If I want a third pass, setting 1 works for me. Don’t use dull blades. Using a sharp blade lets you cut through the hair with fewer strokes or passes and reduces skin irritation. To be transparent, my first DE shave was terrible and left me looking like an attack victim. I’ve since learned a lot and I’m enjoying shaving more than I ever have. If you don’t think you can deal with the learning curve, get a Henson AL13. It’s about the same price (not adjustable though). If you get the angle wrong with that one, it just won’t shave so the risk of a cut is very low. However, if you want a classy looking, well made and affordable adjustable razor, I think the Flexi is very good. Over time, the money you save on blades will pay for the razor which makes it a good investment. Hopefully my experience has been helpful for you. Happy shaving!

Although I prefer the butterfly configuration of double edged safety razors, this 2 piece design functions flawlessly. Loading and aligning the blade is straight forward. The length and weight of this shaver are pleasingly acceptable. Quite satisfactory as not being too heavy and very manoevrable since the handle is not long.
Calibrating the blade angle by dialing in the 1-6 settings is visible via the indexing marker. Turning the handle adjustment is smooth.
Altogether it is a fine implement and competes well , if not surpassing the Merkur Futur model and no need for multiple plate inserts as with the Rockwell shaver. (And the Rockwell is a fine unit indeed).
As for cost, it is not the least expensive but I believe it will provide for a long service record.

Heavy. Quality is there. Stand and tons of blade included. Easy price point for someone wanting an adjustable razor The top seems a little bigger. Can really get under the nose as easy as my other razors. Similar to my Rex adjustable. The dot on the dial can only be moved to 1.5.
I prefer a butterfly to a 3 piece. Just easier to clean every shave. If price point is importance try one. If you can put out the money, check out a Rex.

So I did not receive the open comb version that I ordered. I received the close comb version. I was a bit disappointed but decided to give the razor a try and see how it shaves. I put a Personna Comfort Coated blade in and put the dial to number two. I was not sure how aggressive the razor would be and to my surprise I chose the right blade and the right setting! I have sensitive skin with a medium coarse beard. I had a three day growth and did a three shave pass. I did get a BBS shave with the number two setting but next time will try the number three to see if it cuts the face fur any better.
I do wish I would have gotten the open comb as it would have been my very first open comb razor and I was looking forward to getting one. I have been using safety razors for about twenty years now. I switched due to cost of cartridge razors and in grown hair issues. I have around twenty five other razors in my collection and wanted to give this brand a try.
The razor is super well built. Will definitely last a lifetime and will be one of those hand down to my grand kids type of razor. The dial is smooth not the click type and I did check out the razor very good to make sure it did not have the issue others had in the past with the head being uneven. Mine is super spot on! Not much more to say except yes I do recommend this razor to anyone looking for a very heavy super well built last you forever razor. I will keep this closed comb version but will try again to order the open comb later.

The Pearl Flexi is a fine adjustable double edge razor. It’s well made and on the heavy side.

I have been doing wet shave since 5 years and I regularly use my Gillette Super Adjustable 109 from the year 1975 which was passed on to me by my father.

I really liked the feel and efficiency of the Pearl Flexi Open Comb Razor the moment I started using it. I have heard that earlier models had some alignment issues and the manufacturer was very prompt in replacing them. But all that seems to be sorted now. No alignment issues, no rattling of internals when shaking, adjustment seems to work perfectly.

I use 7 O’ Clock Super Platinum with Proraso Shaving Soap and the results are very good. Very little razor burn, good glide and slick. I did 2 passes and did not feel the need for a 3rd pass. I started with blade adjustment 3 and later cranked it up to 5 and this range seems to work fine for me. I did 4 shaves on a single DE blade and it looks good for another pass. Received 55 pieces of Willy’s DE blades with the package, but I have not tried it yet.

Overall this is one of the best Safety Razors that can be bought in India and can give a lot of more expensive international razors a run for their money. It is definitely on the heavier side, but definitely adds to the feel.

My Mercur Progress 500 had corroded to the point that it could not hold a blade at settings above 1. The packaging on the Pearl Flexi Black edition was a great first impression of the quality and when I picked it up, I knew why reviewers said it was on the heavy side. I enjoyed my first shave with it with Feather blades. I started with the 1 setting and then moved to 2. My impression is that there is a big difference between 1 and 2 that would be more like a 4 on the Progress 500 I had.
The included base feels very solid with the razor in it and I’m not worried about it falling over.

I really like having the adjustment as a separate dial so that I don’t have to find the alignment marks every time I change the blade like on the Progress.

The media could not be loaded.

La alineación de la navaja es mala y el cabezal es asimétrico, la barra de seguridad está muy cerca de la navaja por lo que provoca un mal angulo de afeitado, solo funciona bien si está en el nivel de ajuste .5 y 1.

I’ve been wet shaving for about 20 years and decided to upgrade to an adjustable razor. I actually purchased a Parker Variant and the Flexi Pearl. I used the Parker for about a week before ordering the Flexi. I’m using Jack Black Triple Cushion cream and traded off between Feather and Astra Platinum (green) blades.

I was getting ok results with the Parker and a bit of irritation and nicks from time to time. I watched every video and read every review on the Flexi. Most people thought it was a good razor. So, I got one. Oh man, what a game changer! It’s a hefty razor and feels really solid. It’s heavier than my other razors, but not noticeably so to me. This razor is soooo smooth! I started out on 3 to check it out and it was fine. So, I went to 5 and even better. It performs well with the Feather and Astra Green blades. No cuts or irritation at all. I’m getting really great results and couldn’t be happier. I don’t think you’ll have any regrets with this razor.

There is a long debate on asymmetrical clearances. But the company has resolved the issue. Still, I feel it on shape blades like feather.
My first shave was with willies blades provided with the razor. I was ok, ok. Then tried a sampler from glowshine.in. It has 15 brands of blades. Tried few of them
there I found my peace of mind in RK Ultraman. It’s cheap and one shave wonder.
my Adjustment from 2-4 depending upon mood and sensitivity.
The built quality is spectacular. I am still wondering that, 5 years warranty will be exploited or not?
