I actually bought this to make my beard a little more manageable. It works great and smells even better.

Listen here, fellas. If you want your hair to be the right amount of hold, this stuff is perfect. It keeps your hair in place, but doesn’t turn your hair to KFC Extra Crispy Chicken like some gels or hairspray does. But frankly, that’s not why I’m writing this review.
This. Stuff. Smells. Amazing. But it might smell too good. Example: have you ever seen that episode of Scrubs where JD dates that girl who is obsessed with his hair and only dates him because of his nice hair? It’s the same episode he shaves his head as a sign of solidarity for one of his patients going through Chemo. Anyway, I digress. It’s kind of like that with my wife (the obsession, the not Chemo). My wife literally only wants to smell my hair when I have this stuff in, and when she does, she is obsessed with it to the point, I’m worried she might leave me for a can of Pomade.
So be careful, guys. This may be the worst best purchase ever.

Does not leave hair crispy and too wet looking. Definitely different than other pomades I have tried. Smells great as always and the hold seems to be about medium to medium-high. I don’t have to mess with it much, unless the wind is blowing pretty hard outside.

If you wear a side part with shorter hair, search no more this is the only product you’ll ever need again. I have tried dozens of hair products in my day, and if you’re like me you’re tired of having products that are either the right shine with not enough hold or a dull finish despite a firm hold. 1821 pomade has an extremely strong hold but is also plenty malleable and makes it easy to style your hair; it has never taken me such a short amount of time to fix my hair. And a little goes a long way so despite the price, it will last you a while. The glossy finish lasts all day as long as you don’t run your hands through your hair after it’s applied and it is the perfect amount of shine without it looking like it’s weighed down in gel.
It smells masculine and the potent scent is a great way to help you wake up in the morning. I honestly used to not like bourbon at all but after using this product for a few months I tried bourbon again and now it’s my favorite liquor. I can’t imagine a guy not enjoying the smell of this product, so take my word for it you won’t be disappointed (unless you are absolutely repulsed by the smell of bourbon).
Seriously, I have tried everything from gels to pomades to putties to pastes to you name it. For the side part, you won’t find a more user friendly and high quality product than this one. It has zero flaws.

I love the smell. I have fine straight hair and I usually side part or slick back. The hold is strong like a gel and if you use ot on wet hair it will get hard. However you can knock the crunch off. Just a fair warning there. It has a great hold. I usually use a small amount and soften it with layrite super shine on top. I’ve used alot of things and this is as good as any and I just like the smell

This product was first introduced to me after trying out a new hair salon, and boy did I hit the jackpot. I have extremely thick, curly hair and have always had trouble finding the right product for my hair type. Most products just don’t cut the mustard when it comes to hold, and I oftentimes find my hair frizzing out within an hour of styling it. Such is not the case with 18.21’s Man Made Pomade. I apply it to my hair while damp, and it keeps whatever style/shape I decide to rock for the day, all day. It genuinely stays put however I style it, which is a relief to not have to worry about how my hair looks after an hour into my day.
Not only is the hold impressive, but the jar lasts quite a while. I even use a bit more than recommended (about the size of a nickel…sometimes more) simply because my hair is so unruly, but each jar lasts me three months at the very least which is more than acceptable for the price considering the salon I had gone to was charging $30 per jar. Last but not least, the scent is absolutely enticing. I’ve noticed that this particular scent is a hit or miss for people; you either love it, or you hate it. I happen to fall under the category of person that finds the tobacco scent to be sweet, savory, but overall perfectly masculine. This is not a scent for boohoo baby boys; it is for men that want to smell like they’ve just finished up at the barber shop.

This pomade is incredible. I was skeptical because I didn’t think there was any way all the positive reviews were legitimate. Consider me converted.
The smell is awesome, it’s definitely strong so a little bit goes a long way. Also I have really thick hair and it totally holds the length of my work day and into the evening.
It’s easy to mold and if you add water it gets a more gel like feel so you can do a lot with it. It’s not heavy and it doesn’t make your hair look like a porcupine on steroids.
It washes out easy and doesn’t have you flaking everywhere like other sculpting stuff.
All in all, great product and will definitely be my go to for a long time.

Not sure why I keep trying other brands, but I always end up back at this one. I have really thick hair and prefer a shinier finish. This hits both and smells great.

I’ve been using this for about a year and a half now. I use less than a teaspoon on damp hair and then add a very small amount of styling glue as well.
The hold with both is incredible, and if it gets messed up, i literally just get my hands wet and fix it and it looks perfect again.
Smells good, looks good, easy to make last.
