This review is for the Elilier 1¾” Hair Straightener. I didn’t receive a new item, I received an item that had clearly been returned. It was in a box, but the flat iron wasn’t wrapped in anything, it was just haphazardly shoved back into the box, the cord was tangled, and the iron was scuffed up. I only paid $13.00 because it was a “deal” (that should’ve been my first clue) so I decided to try it anyway. I see why it was returned. First, the plates don’t properly close. The best way I can describe it, is they’re off track. Second, it gets too hot. I had it on 400 degrees, and only did a couple of passes before I stopped because it kept getting hotter and hotter, and I was about to burn my hair off. In a nutshell, I received a previously used, defective item. I was going to return it, but like I said, it was only $13.00 so it’s not worth the effort. Plus I don’t want anyone else to end up with this defective item so it’s going in the trash.

I gave 4 stars because the lock doesn’t work. This flat iron staightens. It is great on wigs. Works well on Yaki Straight hair to make hair look Perm Straight, you know the Silk Press look. It also bumbs the hair beautifully. My wig is cut in a bob and after I used this iron I don’t need the beauty salon for the perfect bob. I would recommend.

The external part of the straightener gets too hot and the inside doesn’t make the hair smooth enough was a total waste!

It’s nice, has a lock, heats up fast, a s its sleep and compact even though it’s long… it came with two clips, some ponytail holders, and a comb. It’s nice when complimentary items are included! Great purchase!

Such a high quality straightener! I bought for my daughter and now I’m buying another for myself. We have thick, long, course hair and this works perfectly. We only have to go over the hair once or twice and it does an amazing job. Hair is smooth and shiny! I’ve been straightening my hair for over 20 years and tried expensive name brands that just didn’t cut it. This straightener IS IT for my thick hair!
