I started cutting my husbands hair at home during COVID and have continued to since to save some money and he likes to have his hair kept very short. We were using a regular clipper before but since going to this balding clipper it has been a game changer. It goes much faster and I get a much closer cut. It is lightweight but feels like good quality, which I really like because the old clippers were heavy and my hand would get tired and cramp up. Clean easily, case is nice, and it is not loud. Great purchase.

I’ve had a set of Wahl clippers for about 20 years but as I’ve become balder, I want my hair even shorter, which my old clippers wouldn’t give me. After dithering on these due to the price, I finally bought a set of Wahl Balding clippers and I’m delighted with them.
Sturdy build, very similar (even heavier perhaps?) to my 20 year old Wahls and a precise, barely there hair length trim. Very easy to use, and despite them feeling sharp to the touch, I’ve not grazed or stabbed myself at all.
Highly recommended if you want that super short cut without having to get there from ‘fully shaved a couple of days ago’.

Um es mit den Worten des grandiosen Rezensenten “Biff Kniffte” zu sagen:

Hier hat man einfach irgendwann in den 70ern beschlossen einen 5Liter V8 Motor in eine damaligen standard Rasiererkorpus zu pressen um widerborstige Haare, verirrte Schafe und notfalls auch plötzlich wieder auftauchende Mammuts scheren zu können. Was soll ich sagen, Hubraum ist immer ne gute Lösung. Für Vierjährige mag das Teil tatsächlich etwas zu schwer sein, aber für ausgewachsene Spiegelkünstler sollte das kein Problem sein. Es gilt jedoch wirklich den Scherkopf entsprechend der Anleitung richtig einzustellen, ansonsten bockt der V8 und es kann schon sein, dass das Schaf versehentlich filetiert wird. Für den abenteuerlustigen Haupthaarhasser aber sicher die Beste Methode sich trocken einer Glatze zu nähern (ist in etwa so, als hatte man sich früh nass rasiert und würde abends drüberfassen…)”
Und ich muss ihm in allen Punkten recht geben: DAS ist ein Glatzenrasierer ! Ich habe ihn nun seit über 4,5 Jahren im Einsatz und ich kann mir keinen besseren vorstellen. Er leistet immer noch treu seine Dienste und es gibt nicht im entferntesten irgendeinen Grund warum ich ihn austauschen sollte. Der einzige Gedanke den ich habe ist, dass ich mir besser noch schnell einen als Ersatz zulege, bevor sich der Hersteller irgendwann aus Gründen dazu entscheidet ihn nicht mehr herzustellen… das wäre dann nämlich ein Desaster. Also, hiermit meine volle Kaufempfehlung an alle die eine ordnungsgemäße Glatze haben möchten. Danke fürs Lesen.

I have cut my husband’s hair for years. Much to his chagrin, he has been losing it since he was 30. His mullet went the way of the 80’s… a fun, distant memory. I never understood why anyone would date based on hair, height or for that matter cup size or hair color. My husband would comment back that it was easy for me…(cute petite gal with hair enough for both of us he would say). I sympathize. I really do, but I never thought about hair on a man’s head an issue. Really?? So as each year passed the pattern increased and finally it reached the time when I told him, enough! Embrace the bald. There weren’t enough cutting guides to work out the scrappy patches. So off it went. We got the mullet wig for 80 parties, had fun but he slowly got to see the benefit of bald.
Then one fateful day our ancient clippers quit. They actually shorted out with a dramatic poof and spark. I went to work finding new clippers. I wanted cordless so I wouldn’t pull his nose off when working. What a disappointment. Those things gave the cut of a short-haired dog. Not the close shave we were looking for. I purchased these although corded and have not had an issue. Would prefer no cord but I can work with them. No nicks or cuts. Close clean and easy to grip. Less vibration than our old pair which I’m surprised how much more pleasant to work with, even in a short period.
I also packed them on board a flight to cut my best friend who is battling uterine cancer. Chemo had left patches and she wanted the pretty bald look. It reportedly leaves no razor burn and is super close.
We are very happy with this razor. No guides used but I tried them. They are much easier and stiffer than our old ones, so I would think they would do the job.
Wish they made all razors to cut this sharp. Very happy I got my sexy bald husband and I have to say my friend is as beautiful as ever. Would purchase again.

Got tired of seeing a barber who uses the same clippers! So, bought my own. Now I save on trip to the barber and the costs. It gets close enough that I only need to use electric foil shaver to then get completely smooth. Works great.
