I use this Afrimports raw unrefined shea butter as an additive in my hand-made all-natural soaps; I previously used refined shea butter, and it caused problems in the soap-making process. I did not weigh the product but the shipping weight with the box says 5.25lbs. I love the product as it looks, smells and feels like genuine shea butter. It’s not soft but not hard either, when on your hands it melts like pure shea butter. The items is clean and the packaging is just like it appears: a box with labels and the product is in a clear plastic bag inside the box. I will buy again from this seller as I feel confident that the product is genuine.
