I wrote a novel, in summary: Sunscreen avoider and hater falls in love, gives up her favorite tinted moisturizer, and recommends the lightest shade for anyone on the lighter side of light/med and paler skin-tones.
I have never been a regular sunscreen user, which is probably why my melasma won’t completely disappear and why my skin looks a bit more aged. I’m 41 and at the point where I really dislike any kind of foundation because of how it looks. I typically use NARS tinted moisturizer but I wanted something a bit more protective so I have been trying different tinted sunscreens. Despite knowing sunscreen is necessary I cannot stand the oily, chalky, DIRTY feeling. This is none of that and it’s got a great coverage! It dries down well, doesn’t transfer and leaves my skin feeling soft and light. I’m absolutely in love. I have maturing, dehydrated, combo skin with melasma and some hormonal breakouts. The photo is after 10 hours of wear!
Other products, NARS spot concealer, NARS blush and mascara. Just FYI I’m a light/med and this is just barely too dark for me but will be 100% perfect when the sun comes (I tan immediately). If you’re on the lighter side of light/med and definitely if you’re fair/light, go with the lightest shade.

I ended up getting golden hour and sunset shade and my skin is medium with golden undertone. However beware the expiration date is only 3 months out. Other than that I love this product and it’s hard to get dark spots covered. I did add a little highlights to cover the dark spots on my cheeks.

I don’t HATE this sunscreen- I was going to return it but I’ve decided to keep with it. I’ll list my pros and cons:
Pros:
– Opaque coverage. I was shocked by this! It can be a good or a bad thing depending on how you look at it- I’m listing it as a pro since I’m only wearing this on my face at the moment! Evens out of all of my redness and even if I don’t add bronzer or blush- I still look alive
– Satin matte finish. Love this for my oily skin. I hate when things are TOO matte because with my pale skin I look like a ghost but also too dewy of a finish leaves me looking and feeling greasy. This is right in between- however I do find myself having to powder my face.
Cons:
– Small bottle. I need to start looking at the sizes listed haha- it’s slightly smaller than what I’m comfortable for paying at this price but not terrible.
– Emphasizes texture/any dead skin cell buildup. This is my main issue- because it’s such a makeup-ey finish, I can’t blend with my fingers like a normal sunscreen/tinted sunscreen. Even with a nice brush, I still find it settles into some lines and emphasizes texture. With more finessing into the skin it’s wearable but this is the main thing that’s keeping me from ordering another 🙁

I love, love love this product. It is a game changer for me because I have dark spots on my face due to sun exposure and need sun protection to avoid more dark spots. This product evens out my complexion and enhances my skin tone, while looking very natural and not makeup-y. I apply it with my fingers (not a make-up brush) and put a dot of it on every main area of my face and then rub it in. That way it’s not too thick and it looks natural. The only downside is the container is prone to leaking so if you buy this product it’s important to make sure the lid is tightly shut and I would highly recommend you keep it in a ziplock bag in your purse and bring it in your carryon bag (in a ziplock bag!) if you are flying anywhere instead of putting it in checked luggage, in order to minimize the risk of a blow-out!

I have tried it all! I have dry, now maturing skin (in my 30’s), and I like VERY FEW products! They’re either drying, settle into fine lines, the wrong shade, etc. But this one is fantastic! Now I LOVE Tower 28 as a whole (their new concealer is fantastic!!), but their “Sunny Days” just lacks a light to light medium yellow/warm toned shade. That is how I found this product!! And I use it in “Sunrise.” This is the PERFECT shade!! And surprisingly hard to find, because usually when you have a high mineral SPF, it makes the shade too gray/ashy. But it’s extremely similar to Tower 28’s “Sunny Days,” except the shade is better AND you get a mineral spf of 50 instead of 30! But the coverage is great for a skin tint and it’s not too drying at all (if you have anything other than dry or normal-dry skin, you may not like this). I love the dewy glow it gives and the fact that it gives good coverage, but is not HEAVY like It Cosmetics!!! Plus the price is great on Amazon! So I’ve already re-purchased this and will continue to do so!

This is almost like foundation, pretty opaque with a skin-like finish. I need 50spf but I dont like wearing foundation. I was looking for a dupe for Colorscience tinted spf, this is different. This is a satiny finish, no shimmer and no dewy glow. I generally want a dewy finish but this looks so much like skin multiple clients have asked me if I am wearing makeup or if my skin was just that perfect. I am a convert!

I was insanely excited to try this face product that I have been wanting to try for months. And finally made the decision after seeing it on sale on prime day. However, there were a few hiccups. At first I was sent the incorrect item. I ordered dawn and was sent glisten. Mistakes happen and I was resent what was supposed to be the correct item. However, once I got it, the box looked like it was run over. I opened up the box to see if the item was damaged, and it was clearly used.
I will never order this item again because Alleyoop clearly doesn’t care about the safety and experience of their customers.
