So, I snagged this Amazon Basic Paddle Hair Brush, and let me tell you, it’s like a gentle hug for my hair. No drama, just smooth brushing without the ouch factor. I’m liking this brush so far, it’s a nice upgrade from my previous dollar store brush. The paddle is large and the brush feels solidly made. It’s got the sort cushiony surface for the bristles which is nice, feels like it’s gentler that way. The handle and body of the brush are like a soft touch material so it feels good to hold. My hair needs and routine are pretty simple but I’m happy with this and think it’s worth the asking price at time of writing.

This Amazon Basics paddle brush is a decent hair brush. I like the shape of and the embellishment on the handle. The handle feels good in my hand.
Many times I have lost a strand of hair while using other paddle brushes. The strand would get caught in the groove between the handle and the body of the brush. That has not happened using this Amazon Basics paddle brush. I am not sure what is different about the design of the handle on this hair brush. I am sure that not having strands of my hair randomly yanked out makes this a better paddle brush.
I looked at a paddle brush hanging on a peg in a store a couple of months ago. It was a large paddle brush, just like this one. That brush was more colorful than this one. That brush was shinier than this one. That paddle brush was also twice the price of this one. I left that paddle brush hanging on the peg.
I think that this Amazon Basics large size paddle brush is a decent hair brush. I think that it is a good value as well.

This brush is definitely on the larger size, but works very well on my thick frizzy hair. I use it while I am blow drying my hair and it holds up to the heat very well. If you have small hands it might feel a bit big/clunky but it is a good value for the quality of the brush.
