When Amazon launched Solimo razors, I decided to buy some of the men’s ones for myself and this women’s one for my wife. Since I bought a large pack with 16 cartridges, I offered my wife to try out the men’s one after using this women’s version and she preferred the men’s one more, especially when she found out the men’s ones were cheaper. Since we both switched to Solimo men’s razors, I discovered that the exact same handles and cartridges are sold at FreshCo/Sobeys/Foodland under the store brand, and they’re even cheaper than the Solimo cartridges, so we’ll be buying from there in the future.

I like this just fine. Does what you want it to do. The moisturizing strip works well. I’m disappointed that the refills are touch and go as for availability. Well worth the money if you can get the 12 pack refills.

I was in the market for a new Razor, since the brand I have been using has discontinued the one I used, and came across these. I liked that it was blue, everyone else in the house has black, and had a large razor head & shield. I thought it would be easier for me to handle in the shower without my glasses. Well, I was very wrong.
I got in the shower today and attempted to remove the razor shield, and it would not come off. By now I am well drenched and so is the razor. The gel is so slippery I begin to fumble with it and now the razor head pops off. The gel is now all over my hands, making it near impossible to place the head back on, never mind trying to remove the stubborn shield. Without my glasses I can not see what I am doing, way is up, or in! I ended up having to step out of the shower to find a replacement for the time being.
I swear, to an audience this would have been comedy gold. But to me, the user, it was infuriating and a tad nerve wracking. I really did not want to cut myself before being able to shave.
So, judging the single time I got to use it prior to today …
•Does it shave well?
-Yes.
•Does the gel activate and make things silky smooth?
-Yes, too much so.
•Would I recommend it?
-Only to someone who doesn’t need glasses, OR someone who does not replace the razor shield after every use.

I love these blades! I have been buying the Quaattro razors for years (the ones that you replace the cartridges). I was looking for replacements since I didn’t want to run to the store and came across these ones! They fit PERFECTLY like the Quattro ones to my handles! Absolutely the same! Not only do you get more but you save some mulah! Oh, and also they last many shaves!

I have been looking for a good quality razor with 5 blades. So far I haven’t found anything that gives a nice close shave, until now. The head swivels to go around curves, and has something in the head that moisturizes as you shave. So far it seems to give a nice close shave, but I haven’t used it long enough to know how long it lasts.

I ordered this razor after reading all the reviews on it and decided that it was worth a try. I have always had trouble finding the right razor that didn’t leave little cuts around my knees, but this one worked so well! I now have the refills sent to every other month! Definitely give this a try.

This has been my razor of choice for the past few years and I wouldn’t even try a different kind. The blades are long lasting compared to others, and affordable. My legs are very smooth with this razor, more so compared to others I’ve tried. I have very sensitive skin and this does not irritate me even with daily shaving.

I will never spend top dollar for razors again. In the past, I’ve always used Gillette Fusion 5 razors. I have very razor burn prone skin and have been afraid to switch for a long time. Lately, refills for the Gillette Fusion 5 have seemed to lose quality and I went from being able to use them multiple times before tossing to getting just 1 use without irritation. Finally, I had enough and decided to try out the Amazon Basics 5 blade razors because they had such great reviews. I’ve tried the men’s and women’s and I love them both! Obviously the price is WAY better, but I have been able to use both multiple times without irritation or the blades dulling. I’ve actually been able to use either for more uses than I ever got out of the Gillette razors. Ultimately, I’ve decided to start regularly buying the Amazon Basics Men’s 5 blade razors and refills because of the MotionSphere handle. The flexibility just makes shaving all over more comfortable and easy in my opinion. Other than that I’d say the 2 are equal when it comes to the sharpness and longevity of the blades and also the lubricating strips. I definitely recommend these razors (men’s or women’s). You will save money and won’t sacrifice quality a bit.

Bought it. Tried it. It was okay for 3 shaves but useless afterwards. Even when new, it doesn’t come close to Venus. I will go back to buying expensive Venus because it cost less when the blade lasts longer, Duh! Will I buy this again? Maybe, if Venus becomes so expensive I can’t cough up the money.
