A few decades ago, I tried twin-blade, plastic razors. But they got clogged up between the blades with hair, so I switched to single-blade plastic razors (Bic Metal).

These Amazon twin blades were so inexpensive, I thought I’d see what all the excitement is about. But it’s the same ol’ thing, dealing with the twin blades clogging up with hair.

It doesn’t qualify as a disaster, but I won’t be purchasing twin blades anymore, until I get curious again in another 40 years.

I should mention that these twin blades are plenty sharp.

    I think I recall a comedy sketch where they’re advertising a plastic razor with 17 blades…

My husband usually use Gillette and I ordered this cheaper brand to check the difference. Does the same job, just that he gets a little more shave with his favorite brand. Overall, he likes it. I used one to shave, and it worked well. For the cost, it’s worth it

I think this is a great deal it’s a bulk product with several blades but is higher quality than like free razors that are given to you at hotels so it is an upgrade from the single blade cheapo razor

The Amazon Basics Twin Blade Pivoting Disposable Razors with Rubber Grip are a budget-friendly option for individuals seeking a disposable razor for shaving. Here are some key features and information about these razors:

Twin Blade Design: The razor features two blades, which is a common design for disposable razors. Twin blades are generally effective for providing a close shave and are suitable for everyday use.

Pivoting Head: The pivoting head allows the razor to adjust to the contours of the face or body during shaving. This feature helps maintain better contact with the skin, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable shave.

Disposable: As indicated in the name, these razors are disposable, meaning they are intended for a limited number of uses. Once the blades become dull or the razor is no longer effective, it is discarded.

Rubber Grip: The inclusion of a rubber grip on the handle enhances the grip during use. This is especially useful in a wet environment, such as during a shower, to prevent slipping and improve control.

Budget-Friendly: Amazon Basics products are known for their affordability. These razors are a cost-effective option for those who prefer disposable razors and are looking for a budget-friendly choice.

Pack Size: These razors are typically sold in packs, and the pack size may vary. Purchasing in bulk can be convenient for ensuring a steady supply.

Convenience: Disposable razors are convenient for travel or situations where a permanent razor is not practical. They are also suitable for those who prefer not to deal with the maintenance of traditional razors.

Versatile Use: The razors are suitable for various shaving needs, including facial shaving, body shaving, and general grooming.

Ideal for Beginners: Disposable razors are often recommended for individuals who are new to shaving. They are easy to use and don’t require the learning curve associated with using traditional safety razors.

Additional Features: Depending on the specific model, there may be additional features such as lubricating strips for a smoother glide, aloe vera strips for added comfort, or a blade guard for safety.

It’s important to note that individual preferences for razors can vary, and factors such as skin sensitivity, hair type, and personal preferences should be considered when choosing a razor. Additionally, disposable razors should be used with care to avoid irritation or cuts, and they may not be suitable for all skin types.

I wanted to give these a try in the hope they could replace my Gillette Sensor 2 Plus razors, which are more expensive. In the end, I didn’t find the razors to be sharp enough. I didn’t cut myself, but the razors tended to pull instead of cut at times. Hopefully, they will work better for others, but for me I will have to revert back to the Gillette Sensor 2 Plus razors.

Lots of razors for the money. Not the sharpest blades, and they don’t last very long, but received what I paid for.

These razors have changed my life. Back when I was happy, healthy and alive I used Schick Slim Twin ST 2 razors. One fateful day I thought I’d save a little money and try these Amazon Basics. That turns out to have been a terrible mistake but I was determined to see it through as I didn’t want to just waste so much plastic. At first it just seemed that it wasn’t as nice a razor as my old standby. The blades just seemed to catch on my whiskers and pull rather than cut through them requiring me to go back over the same spots repeatedly. Then came the surprise of the SLIME! You could use this stuff in a sci-fi horror film! The lube strip on these puts out such a prodigious amount of slippery yet sticky slime that it became impossible to either see what I was doing or to rinse the blade off. I don’t have particularly tough whiskers but I have to use two razors to get through a single shave and the blades do nothing to help lift the hairs up. Instead the slime makes the cutting edges just glide over everything, whiskers included. As such I found myself pressing harder and going over the same areas in multiple directions to get a close enough shave. Anyone that has been shaving for a while knows that is a great way to get an ingrown hair. It took a little while for that to happen to me though. First I was just skipping shaving every day and when I did it wasn’t a thorough job so I often looked and felt a little rough. My beautiful wife has sensitive skin so she started pulling away and not kissing me as much. This made me unhappy and I would show up to work in a bad mood. My co workers and customers ended up bearing the brunt of that so on top of looking disheveled I had also become a curmudgeon. This was noted on my performance review and I was passed over for promotion. My mood became even more unbearable which further put strain on my relations with my now distant wife. In the end I got fired, my wife left me and then in attempt to try to pull myself back together I put greater effort into shaving more, still using these confounded razors. That is when the ingrown whisker happened. This sucker was big and deep and I took out all my frustrations of my now tattered life on trying to extricate it. I would squeeze, poke and dig at it until….it got infected. Then sepsis set in and I died an agonizing horrible death, unemployed and lonely on a cold bathroom floor covered in razor slime. Don’t let this happen to you. Get a good razor for a few dollars more and live a long and healthy, happy life.
