The machine it self is great it’s a power liner forsure. The company not so thorough , I’ve ordered 2 so far , the first machine came and the screw for the cams was stripped so I was unable to replace the cams , I messaged the company and the sent me a whole new motor , so customer service is pretty good. But I ordered a 2nd machine and they sent me all the wrong cams for it . Seems like they can’t get one to me that’s perfect ready to use out of the box .

This is my second Ambition machine. Started with a Soldier then purchased some big names to see what the hype was about.. i must say from my 3 years of professional experience, i could have saved 2 grand! These machines work just as good for daily drivers IN THE RIGHT HANDS.. it’s the Painter NOT the Paint brush.. & it took me a while to realize this. So let me save you some money, these machines are being manufactured for less than 1/10th the price.. even if it only lasted me 3 months, it pays for itself after 1 session lol.
The “Torped” was slimmer than i expected upon inspection, coupled with a short Kuark RCA battery by Ambition its about the same size as my Flux and Power wand.. i love that i can fully take it apart in order to PROPERLY sanitize.. which unfortunately is not talked about enough in this industry at the moment🤷🏻♂️.
The 5.0 cam is a bit punchy for my taste but blasts in lines.
The 4.0 pre installed cam runs BEAUTIFULLY and shades like butter, but i found the 4.5 cam to be my personal favorite.. i can lay down lines, stipple with zero snags & pack any skin with ease.
For $69 BUY THIS MACHINE..will it last forever? NO.. but no machine will, and i have less issues with these than i have had with big name brands which says a lot..
Enjoy the aluminum Gold finish, Hollow cup motor with easy interchangeable stroke design, CLICK GRIP, Ease of cleansing, Size & Power, Even reminds me of Cheyenne style grips.
If you’re not on the “brand bandwagon” & have knowledge of tattooing don’t be scared to give the Torped a go! It’s a solid machine & im pretty impressed after 3 months of use with quality needle cartridges.

I had been told about the ambition machines from a shop owner friend of mine. He said this machine works just as well as the $400 comparable machines and said everyone in his shop has switched to using these machines. Now these guys are all some damned good artists and produce amazing work so if they are vou hing for these machines….
I went ahead and ordered one figuring why not give it a shot? When it came in, I was pleasantly surprised to see the extra cams for different throw lengths as well as a few spare parts just in case. Plus a nifty little case to keep it all together. If you’re anything like me, stuff can easily get lost in your kit.
I set it up and gave it a little run through just to see how it ran and how it felt. VERY little vibration and super quiet. It also lays down some nice lines and shades like a dream. All I had to change was the speed.
The only con I would give e is that rhe power cord that attached to the machine was a little anug and initially I didn’t have it plugged in all the way so I thought there was some issues. But that was all on me. Be sure to get that clip cord all the way on there.
Over all, this was worth the money. Great little machine especially for the price. I give e it 2 enthusiastic thumbs up

The main reason people who know what they’re doing purchase this machine is for the 5mm stroke cam. The 5mm cam bearing is considerably smaller and not the same quality in my opinion than the other two cams that come with the machine . Does not make sense whatsoever.. The machine however does seem to run good. I’m just not happy with the bearing size on the 5mm cam.

I absolutely love the design of this unit! I was extremely excited to receive it, and begin work on some detailed shading with the lower stroke cam. After receiving the unit and unboxing the package, which is done very well by ambition, to test the unit, I plugged it in to my Bronc power supply and started it up. I noticed a very high pitch wine coming from the unit before the motor actually engaged and took a few seconds to reach the machines “top speed” as it were. It behaved very much like revving up a car engine. Changed out to a battery power supply to verify that was not the issue and the Torped behaved the same. Fully engaged there seemed to be no issue with its performance but I do not have another unit to compare cycles per second. However, upon every start and stop, it produces the high-pitched wine I mentioned and takes time to reach it maximum cycles per second. Does this affect the machines capability while in use is my main question. One can only ascertain that there is an issue with my particular motor. The ambition Shura that I have behaves in a very different manner, and is quite possibly my favorite machine for lining! Just be prepared to except that occasionally with the scope of all of the motors and equipment that they sell, there may be a unit that does not operate as one thinks it should. Mine just happens to be one of those. Hopefully ambition takes note.

Its really a pretty good pen. I order a bunch of off brand pens to try out. All direct drive style. This one will blow out all the membranes in your cartridges if you dont switch to the 4.5 stroke
I wanted badly to ise the 5.0 but I can’t find any membrane carts that will hold out longer than 30 min

You will not find a better machine at this price point. It’s well built, works great for lining, and most importantly is easy to take apart to clean. Very accessible. This was designed by someone who understands what is actually important as opposed to “bells and whistles” type nonsense. Really good stuff. Buy it.
