I love these products. This is sheer and lightweight. It’s moisturizing. Doesn’t have a strong odor. Smells kind of citrusy to me. Goes on easy and leaves no residue on the skin. Skin absorption is good. It drys clear. Not sticky. Nice application. These products are made in America.

I was only previously able to get this in the US. I was very glad to see it also available on Amazon UK. It’s a wonderfully emollient cream without being greasy and is an economical size. The ingredients are ethical and make a difference to my ashy/dehydrated skin.
Andalou uses good quality ingredients and my skin has never reacted to any of their products, (I have sensitive skin) a definite plus.

I just ordered this and have used it twice. The texture is great – very smooth and silky. There is a light citrus/natural fragrance, but it is not offensive. I am pleased so far and am happy to find this cruelty-free option!

I absolutely love the Andalou ultra sheer daily defense! I have pale, sensitive skin so I am VERY particular as to what I use on my face. It absorbs well, isn’t too thick or too thin, while still moisturizing well. Bonus points that it has the SPF 18 added in. It also has a very light scent, almost fruity (not chemically or a sickly sweet scent). It doesn’t make me break out. I use it twice a day, in morning and evening after washing my face. I have tried many, many products over the years and this one stands out. Also it it affordable, which is also very important. I used to be able to find it in the grocery stores and I can’t anymore, but thankfully can still find it here on Amazon. I have used it for years and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future.

I prefer mineral SPFs because they’re cleaner and not as toxic for me (chemical sunscreens have been shown in scientific studies to be absorbed into the bloodstream) and to the environment, don’t leave me greasy, and don’t clog my pores.
This is not like other mineral sunscreens. It is truly a use-everyday SKINCARE product that just happens to have SPF. It doesn’t leave a white cast, blends in like a dream, and feels super sheer and lightweight. It also doesn’t have a gross sunscreen smell. It has a really nice faint smell of citrus.
I also love that it also protects against blue light and pollution. Both of which have been shown in scientific studies to age the skin. So it helps me wear it every day because I know that even if I’m not getting a lot of sun one day, I’m still protected against other things.

I’m an old man and don’t go in for skincare products. I do a lot of hillwalking so my face gets exposed to sun, wind and rain. I needed something that would help prevent dryness and skin cracking plus s bit of uv protection. I’m vegan, so cruelty free was also required.
Have been using this cream once daily for about a year now, very pleased. A little goes a long way over forehead, eyes, cheeks and ears. Rapid absorption means it doesn’t feel greasy. Has really helped with reducing skin damage too. Can’t fault it

I really like how this lotion smells first off. What ultimately sold me on it was it’s a mineral based sunscreen combined with lotion and resveratrol. The mineral based sunscreen was a must for me since the new studies showing the chemical based sunblocks absorb into your bloodstream through your skin. I’m guessing that isn’t a good thing, though the FDA is still trying to figure that out.
This lotion goes on well and doesn’t leave a greasy shine. It has replaced my old face lotion that had SPF 15 but was chemical based sunblock.
