I recently bought my boyfriend the Andis 74150 GTX-EXO Professional Trimmer, and he’s absolutely thrilled with it. The sleek black design and comfortable grip make it a pleasure to use. He loves the corded and cordless functionality, which offers great flexibility, and the lithium-ion battery provides impressive longevity.

The precision blades have been perfect for maintaining clean, sharp lines on his beard and hair. He also appreciates the charging stand, which keeps the trimmer organized and ready to use at all times. Overall, he’s found it to be a top-notch grooming tool that delivers professional-quality results at home. Highly recommended!

As someone who started shaving over 20 years ago, I’ve tried a variety of razors and trimmers to keep myself fresh and clean. I started with a Mach 3 razor at age 17 before going to the military academy, but eventually moved to double-edge safety razors in 2014 to combat ingrown hairs and razor bumps. After leaving the military and growing a beard, I tried everything to shave my head as I started losing my hair around age 28 — razors, DE safety razors, foil trimmers, you name it. Eventually, because my scalp is also super sensitive, I decided to just use the tried and true Andis T-Outliner that every barber uses to give you that bald cut when razors will give you the volcanic eruption of razor bumps on your head.

I’ve been through maybe three different sets of corded T-Outliners, and eventually stumbled upon these when looking for something without a cord so that I could get that 360 bald cut done quickly before work in the morning without having to do the tango with a cord. These Andis GTX EXO outliners are GREAT! Same quality, bald, low cut as my corded trimmers without the hassle of a cord, and they hold a good enough charge to be able to throw them in my suitcase for a weekend trip so I can stay looking my best while away from home. I also like that they already come from the factory with the “skeleton” cut, reducing vibration and allowing freedom of movement of the teeth of the blades, getting a lower, smoother cut without the need to zero gap the blades.

Definitely give these a try – I think you’ll like them for all uses: shape ups and line work, beard trimming, and for my men out there who are trying to keep a good baldie without tearing your head up with a traditional razor, this is the ticket.

    Careful folks!

I bought this in April 2024. It’s July 2024. This thing stopped working, tried charging overnight etc – nothing. Warranty process is involved and honestly not worth it.

Thing feels cheap, performance isn’t the best – my < $100 shaver was just as good

Look at alternatives, overpriced, unfortunately pretty disappointed

Really good quality product. I basically use this as a beard trimmer. I’m not a barber and I don’t really use this for any fancy trimming or what not. For my use it’s fantastic. I have thicker hair so I do wish it cut a bit deeper but whatever. I had a babyliss pro in the past and it was pure garbage. I’d recommend this to anyone.

amazing it’s so nice trimmer effective even you don’t have to use the razor 💇🏻‍♂️💈

Bought this for Bae , he loves it. Clean precise cut

This is excellent head shaver, at least for coarse, thinning hair, because it has plenty of power and is also very ergonomic. It is easy to maneuver on your own scalp even for those of us with some shoulder mobility issues. It is easy to get behind the ears.

If you want to use it for hair, be sure you get this version with gold blades as it has deeper teeth than the Andis trimmers with a similar form.

I purchased this to replace a Remington Shortcut Pro that was garbage (not enough motor for those super wide blades). I’m glad I did. It’d be nice if there were dedicated products like the Remington that were actually good. Dedicated corded hair trimmers are a better deal, but for me, at least, they are hard to maneuver. And I lack an outlet near the tub.

It feels like a real tool. I’ve had grooming equipment all the way from super affordable to high end animal trimmers (Andis and Oster). The price seems a bit steep (I got it on a great sale) compared to say, an Oster A5 Turbo or Andis’s own pro gear. The fit, form, and finish aren’t high end. But it appears to be easily serviceable and will last a lifetime for a home user (assuming you know how to replace the battery). I’ll take serviceable over eye candy any day (are you listening, Babyliss?) And for whatever reason, human clippers never have the value that animal clippers do, even from the same brands.

The packaging was excessively nice. I get that unboxing is fun for some on YouTube. I’d rather they put the money into things you actually use and not create all the waste.

Some fault the rotary motor for being noisy and having significant vibration. It does, but I like the power. I doubt they could fit the back-and-forth type motor (some folks say “magnetic” motor as if a rotary motor isn’t …) in such a small form with a battery.

I’m sure this is also great for its intended purpose. High recommended, especially if you find it on sale.

It’s the most solid trimmer/outliner I’ve ever had. The cutting is so precise. I always wanted to get my line up just like my barber does. After the first time trying it out my line up was perfect. I was in shock. Its weight is perfect and helps stabilize the hand for great balance cutting while facing a mirror or while turned away from it. Andis does not disappoint with this one. AN ABSOLUTE 5 STAR PRODUCT
