Love it, the shipping was quite fast. I’ve used it twice already mainly when I do my deep conditioning and I love the results. Two thumbs up for me.

  2. Client d’Amazon

    i love it

Everything worked well on this dryer. Nothing was broken and although the top wouldn’t stay open, it’s light enough not to add any pressure to the hose. The bonnet is a little tight but I purchased a headband.

The dryer did the job but not for long. It quit only a few months in—and i didn’t even use it everyday.

This hair dryer bonnet works well. I like that it is portable and because it has a soft cap, I can place this on the table while sitting down and letting my hair dry.

This is my second Andis bonnet dryer. The first worked well for drying but it was always difficult to snap the hose into the bonnet. After 2+ years one of the two prongs on the hose snapped off and rendered the unit useless, as I could no longer attach the bonnet. I ordered a new one which just arrived. I had enormous difficulty snapping the bonnet onto the hose. Now I can’t get it off, meaning it will be awkward to put on and awkward to store. This is a serious flaw and it is too bad as this is otherwise a very good machine, better than another option I tried. Pluses: quiet, relatively lightweight, has separate settings for flow and heat.

Loved the sleek design and simplicity of the unit. This lightweight, briefcase dryer was seemingly convenient to carry and store UNTIL IT CAME APART DURING THE VERY FIRST USE! The bonnet is made of a very cheap plastic, as oppose to a sturdier vinyl material. Upon first use, the bonnet plastic separated in four sections at the seams so that it no longer stays inflated, deeming it unuseable. I opted not to go through the trouble of uploading pictures because I now see someone already posted pictures with the identical problem. Mine looks just like theirs with the same holes/seam-line tears. In addition, my tubing will not detach from the bonnet after use the way it is suppose to and therefore cannot be packed back into the proper unit compartments (it wont close).

UPDATE: I’ve been using the replacement they promptly sent since February 2020. It is now December 2020. I’d give the dryer 4 STARS if only they corrected the “tube attachment to bonnet” feature. It is really difficult to pull out. Sometimes I leave it attached for fear that removing it by force might tear the bonnet. I’ve had other bonnet dryers with the “twist to click” mechanism which is much better and easier to use. So 3 stars instead of 4 for that reason!

  8. Irene

I like using my professional hair dryer because I am able to take care of my daughters hair.

I almost did not buy this because some people complained the tube falls out of the bonnet. But it does NOT fall out IF IF IF you click it all the way in. See, you push the tubing in and hear one “click” and it “seems” to be in, but you then have to push again and hear a louder click and THEN it is in. It will not fall out from there.
My hairdryer has one setting for warmth and a separate setting for strength of wind.
The ‘wind’ button (how hard the air blows inside of the bonnet) offers the choice of “High” and “Low”. Even on high i could hear the Tv. was NOt crazy loud.
And The warmth button offers “Hot” and “Warm”. I did Not find the “hot” one to be uncomfortable. ———-However, i did wear a “wig grip headband” under the edges of the bonnet to prevent those wrinkles on my forehead from elastic folds. Maybe without that headband? maybe it would feel hot to the edges of my hairline, not sure. But i have used bonnets before, and i know darn good and well, without using a headband? i WILL wake up with pressed in red wrinkle marks all around my hairline that take hours to fade away…

Here is the wig grip i use under the edges of this bonnet:

Bought this for my mother . Sha can’t stop raving about how well it works.
Her bone straight hair has beautiful curls

  11. Tiger Girl

My 3A hair is almost long enough for me to sit on, and it’s both dense and low-porosity, which means it usually takes FOREVER to dry. 10-12 hours if I’m air-drying inside, maybe 6 in the winter when the air is super dry. Because of the curls, I can’t blast it with hot air, so even with the diffuser on my hand-held dryer it’s a solid 45 minutes on medium-heat/low-air flow before I can even think of letting it finish air-drying, and I get bored to tears just thinking of it.

I bought this bonnet hoping that I might have an option for those wash days when I just can’t face holding a blowdryer with a huge diffuser up in the air for the better part of an hour. I figure worst-case, I have mediocre curls, but at least they’d be dry enough to go about my business and I could maybe read or knit while it was happening.

It worked SO much better than I expected! I scrunched in my styling products as usual, got the extra water out with a microfiber towel, and then gathered up my hair and plopped it into the bonnet. Made sure it was all tucked in, and set the dryer on High airflow and Warm heat, and knitted for the next 40 minutes. When I took it off it was 1) every bit as dry as if I’d had my blow dryer and diffuser on it for that long, and 2) WAY CURLY. Even more so than if I’d been using the diffuser. And the air-flow was such that I kept my wet-hair curl definition, and it didn’t frizz even a little.

There was plenty of room in the bonnet for all that hair, so I expect it would be plenty big for rollers and twists. Would probably be fine for a shorter (a few inch long) afro too.

I used it to dry customer hair with roller sets. I do house calls.

  13. Geena

Do not let a few negative reviews set you back from this. It’s exactly what I needed. Compact and did the job.
The only thing is the cap is a bit too tight on the forehead but just put a head band cause it will leave a mark.
