I love this exfoliater. I tried to make a homemade one and it did not work like this does.

This Ann Marie skin care product works great for cleansing my face. It reduces pores very nicely and it has a pleasant scent to it. I only use it 3 to 4 times a week for my cleansing regiment. Also, it comes in a generous size which I appreciate for helping my budget.

I use Aveeno Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Exfoliating Daily Facial Scrub because I like to do a manual exfoliation but don’t want to damage my skin. Sometimes I wish there was a little bit more grit to it, so I tried Annmarie Kaolin Micro Exfoliant since it seems to be in the same family as what I was using. It definitely does have more grit, which I liked. It smells like lavender and the grit seems to be made of the clay, so there is something spa-like and natural feeling about it. The fragrance is heavy, but I love it and don’t have sensitive skin, so it works for me. I don’t know that I feel comfortable using this more than two times a week due to grit level, it having clay in it, and strength of fragrance. I haven’t used it long enough to say any outcome on pore size or skin texture.

Holy wowsers. I think this is one of the grittiest facial scrubs I’ve ever used. It makes the ground walnut shell and apricot seed variety seem gentle in comparison. I can’t imagine anyone using this scrub on sensitive or irritated skin. The added diatomaceous earth and green kaolin clay aren’t big pieces of scrub, but there’s so much of it in this particular formula compared to other facial scrubs. I found this to be too rough for my face. Even using a light touch, this product was painful. Easy to imagine it scrubbing out every last bit of dirt from pores, though. Especially pores blocked by blackheads. The one time I used this on my face, it did a great job at cleaning up the blackheads around my nose, but the skin was left red and feeling raw.

Since I didn’t like how this made my face feel, I ended up using it to polish my feet where it worked wonders. I tend to have dry feet from walking barefoot so much. This scrub did a better job at taking off dry skin than the glass foot scrubber I usually use. It even cleaned up the cuticles on my toe nails. I’m at the end of the tube, and my feet look amazing and are baby soft once again. I can see myself ordering this again before warmer weather sets in and it’s sandal time again.

One things that is bothersome is the metal tube. The contents seemed to partially separate when the tube was left sitting between uses, and a metal tube doesn’t make it easy to squish to recombine everything. Metal tubes are better than plastic since they flatten down and don’t allow air back into the tube which can speed up degeneration of the product. I also found out that while our recycling company will take plastic tubes like those used for lotions and such, they won’t take metal tubes like this because they are much costlier to get clean compared to plastic tubes.

This scrub means business. No flakes left behind. There is a slightly medicinal herbal smell to this that is not unpleasant. The texture is really what makes this scrub stand apart. There are a few different levels of grit, the finest one is substantial enough that I would advise some mild caution – it seems like you could overdo it if you use this for too long or scrub too aggressively. This is a good thing IMO because most scrubs are too weak with grit that seems more for show than anything. This stuff really works. This is currently out of stock, but I believe it was $75 when I ordered it, which makes it one of the pricier scrubs in my collection, but this is a very generous portion and a little product goes a long way so I don’t think it would prevent me from repurchasing this when the time comes. It’s not often I like a scrub this much, it’s a keeper even if I do wish it were a little cheaper.

I gave this three stars because while I really like it and think the product is worth 4 stars, the ingredients on the listing are incomplete I rely on accurate ingredient listings, as a person with allergies and sensitive skin. I copied them from the packaging, above and included a photo of the ingredient panel.

The scrub is wonderful. It is a bit drippy and I think the formula could be a little thicker so it doesn’t swell and spill out of the metal tube when the top is removed. I used this at the sink and in the shower, and as there’s some very fine grit, I found this most usable and most thoroughly rinsed, in the shower. The fragrance is from the essential oils and it’s rather strong but in the shower I didn’t mind and once I washed the rest of me, it wasn’t overpowering. The grit factor is light enough to not rough up your skin but still does a thorough job, it is not rough enough to smooth heels but my hands and face feel fantastic.

I really like this face scrub, it smells great and leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean. It really helps my face feel so moisturized and hydrated. I love that it has a grit to it so it makes my face feel so clean. You only need a small amount because a little bit goes a long ways. This has been one of the best facial scrubs I’ve used in a long time. Excellent product and would definitely recommend!!
