Superschöne leuchtende Haarfarbe, das Haar erhält einen tollen Glanz und fühlt sich geschmeidig an.

NOTE: This dye does not require developer and does not come with gloves.

So this was my first time trying artic fox. I’ve dyed my hair for about 10 years now so this might be a little more detailed review based off what I look for in hair dye.

For reference, I previously had an extremely faded and sun bleached black cherry(dark burgundy) on my hair. This Arctic Fox color looks like a bluish grape purple with some red tones in it as well. That, combined with the undertones I had previously, made my hair come out to a very deep plum color that looks different depending on the light.
In some light it looks black, in others deep violet plum, and in others a fiery redish plum. Also, in the sunlight you can see the hints of blue tones which is really frickin cool.

The only bad thing is that this dye is VERY STAINING. You will screw up your shower if you do not clean it up immediately after washing. DO NOT GET IT ON ANYTHING. USE GLOVES. You may want to keep gloves on when washing it out too because of this. However, if you don’t have any more gloves just use dawn dish soap and a scrubber, or an exfoliant, on your hands to get it off.

    For those unfamiliar with hair dye please note;
you will NOT achieve a true purple color unless your hair is bleached very, very blonde or you have very light virgin hair. Otherwise it would just make your hair look black unless you’re in good lighting.

Also, also, I have shoulder length curly hair and worked on four sections. I used only half of the bottle. If you have long hair you will need the whole bottle (probably 1.5-2 bottles if it’s super long for the best results.) Always get more than you need.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk. Hope this was helpful 😁

I lightened my already blonde hair with clairol blonde it up bleach free lightener. Then I pinned half my hair up and applied the purple just to the underside of my hair. Left the purple on for over an hour to be sure (could have done less but I definitely recommend more than the 30 minutes they suggest if you want a nice rich purple). I have washed it once since dyeing and you can see it barely faded at all, and so far hasn’t leaked onto my clothes or pillow cases – although when sweating it will leak so beware when you’re working out. Highly recommend.

Edited to add: it will stain your shower/sink temporarily but within a couple days is totally gone. You can rub Vaseline around your hairline to avoid as much staining on your skin. I recommend wearing darker clothes for a couple days or at least until you wash it again just to be sure you don’t get any light color transfer. You can also try using a color sealer to lock in the color. If I think of anything else I’ll edit again. Good luck!

So after years of paying upwards of $200-$300 every 6 weeks or so for hair coloring (due to my insanely thick hair primarily), I decided I should give a go at doing MY OWN coloring. Andddd what does any modern individual do when they decide to jump off a limb and potentially burn their hair off—-?? YOUTUBE and GOOGLE 🤣
Honestly, after watching my own hair being done so many times, I felt confident I could pull this off, so I started the search for idiot proof pink hair color. The past 2 years or so, my trademark is my blonde highlighted hair with pink heavy highlights as well. I wanted something easy, decently priced, that came out well/dark and of course, was safe for my hair.
After reading literally hundreds of reviews and looking at pictures- which, by the way that is why I’m adding the pics, because there weren’t too many great pictures of that and/or they didn’t look like my hair at all so I couldn’t picture it. (Pics are out of order, but the fourth pic is ‘before’ and the two w straight hair are immediately after color, the final picture is finished product styled)
I used foils for application which is a trick in itself, and I should note that my brown natural color is pretty grown out and I colored over top of that, did not update my bleach highlights as that’s my next test. So this is how dark and beautiful it came out, even on minimal blonde.
No complaints at all. Any issues were more user error or lack of practice.

Also, I mixed the pink color with 2 parts 20 volume developer and left on about 40 minutes.

FIRST OFF, I wanted it deep rich bright purple. As you can see. It definitely failed in that department

However. I’ve used many many other brands. Permanent colors. Reds. Purples. Etc. They never stay. At. All. Did not even matter if I bleached my hair.

This round. I went from about 4-5 months after my last BLEACH AND COLOR with a permanent color purple that didn’t washed out the day of.

Bleached it some more. And then coloured it with arctic fox.

I left the bleach on 1 hour. It’s the PLATINUM BLONDE KITS

I left the Arctic purple on for 1 hr as well. I had WANTED the color I saw on my skin during coloring. If the hair had turned out that color I would of been really happy.

But. As you can see the only spot I can be happy with. Is my roots. Cuz that’s the area that has the purple deepest (not talking about my scalp)

It’s not a bad color. But. For the time I took to do this. I really had expected more deeper brighter looking purple.

I missed a few spots. Not really missed. But just didn’t rub I think. Cuz the way I apply color without a brush and without making mess and splatter. It’s hard to see the spots as I color in bundles. Ill probably re color some of the missed spots on the weekend and it wouldn’t be nearly as inconvenient when it’s not in your whole head.

Yes. I’d do it again. But I’d probably go redish pink. Purple just makes my hair too dark and probably because short of bleaching my naturally black hair white, it’s probably always going to give me darker shades of everything I see and desire. But I’m not willing to go white 🙈 cuz my hair doesn’t keep color very well. Even salon stuff is gone in 3 washes. So then I’d be left with white hair. Literally. Sad. But true.

    I would say:

My length hair. Don’t be cheap just dump the whole bottle into the container. You’ll use it all. There was like maybe 1-2 tablespoons left in the container. 😏so if you’re hair is any longer. Get 2 bottles

    Clean up:

It did not make ANY mess. I was holding my breath on the mess it would make splashing. But. When I ran my hair with water. The water flowed PALE PALE MURKY dirty paint brush water. It wasn’t the deep purple you’d get when you wash regular permanent colors out in the tub. As a result. Short of like a home viewing where some people MIGHT notice a faint tinge of purple at just the right angle and lighting. You couldn’t tell. Took a 3M sponge and just wiped it once over on the tub. Done. No mess to clean up. The shower curtains are clear white. They stayed. Clear white. The tiles grouts all good too. The towels was pale pale faint color. Only spots that rubs purple is the skin where it didn’t wash off in the shower. But it rubs off on the towel.

The remaining bit of color around my face along the hairline. I just took glycolic toner (ordinary) and just did a peel treatment while I was at it and it removed all the color off my face just fine.

Anyways. Hope this helps. I bought this in summer JUNE. Bleached my hair half way down from black. And then. Due to the perceived mess this would cause in my showers. I chickened out and never did it. No regrets. Have fun. This stuff cleans up well (in the showers) I would cover your sinks with a splayed open garbage bag. Same with floor. Just in case. Shower I would spray it all wet the tiles and tub. Before getting in to rinse hair. I wouldn’t do this in the sink as suggested by the manufacturer. No need to avoid your shower or tub.

I’ve been an Arctic fox consumer since the first time I dyed my hair. the hair dye is very nice and I’ve never had a problem with hair damage. I use shampoo and conditioner meant for dyed hair so it helps last longer but, even without out it arctic fox hair dye can last up to 3 weeks in your hair sure by the third week it will be very faded but this is for almost all semi permanent hair dye but this is the brand you should be supporting I appreciate the different bottle sizes and the crazy amount of pigment. I used to have shorter hair and I would only use a little over half the bottle of hair dye but i keep it, and I always heard or been told that I can only use hair dye once and it will “expire”, sure that happens but I can go weeks or a month and the hair dye is still just as vibrant as before. I also like how mixing colors is easy with arctic fox hair dye because some hair dye companies dyes aren’t able to do that very well. I will say if I wear a lighter colored shirt it will stain it a little I personally don’t mind and I think it’s common sense not to wear light colored shirts with freshly dyed hair
I have light colored hair so it works well with all colors. Even if you have darker hair like a dark brown or even black If you put arctic fox dye in your hair in the sunlight it will have a tint of whatever color you used. I dyed my hair permanently black with box dye.. BAD IDEA!!!!!! And even though it was supposed to fade brown it was still a little green. my roots grew in and since I’m blonde it lowkey looked like my hair was thinning at my roots and almost if I was balding…. I put a dark arctic fox red over it all and it fixed everything temporarily until I could find some “gentle” bleach.

La couleur n’a pas du tout tenue alors que mes cheveux étaient correctement décolorés pour une couleur pareil. Je suis très déçue, je n’ai plus recommandé ce produit après et me suis plutôt dirigée vers Manic Panic.
