The product is great. It leaves my hair clean and soft, and I can run a comb easily through it. That said, I don’t believe I will order it from Amazon again.
I ordered this with another item, and they arrived in a box with no paper or dunnage. The bottle had rolled around and cracked at the top. The conditioner leaked all over. Amazon replaced both items, but this may not be a product I buy from Amazon again, as it seems Amazon has made changes in their packaging lately.

My hair hasn’t been this healthy in nearly a decade. It got very dry after a lot of stress. The key is you have to really massage it into your roots and scalp. My first couple attempts at using a co-wash left me with a greasy flat mane. But part of it was finding the right one for my hair. I have straight fine hair. This works great and keeps my hair moisturized. I do use a dandruff shampoo maybe once a week to combat the buildup because I don’t wash it every day and that can lead to flakes and buildup. Still learning as I go…

First of all, like many said, mine did come with a crack on the top of the bottle. However, I didn’t open the package for several days so I can’t really say if it would have leaked some if I’d opened it right away.
Now…to the product. It’s fantastic. A little goes a long way and just makes your hair feel silky smooth and clean. It smells great but not strong. I also use Cantu but this is a superior cowash. Plus the bottle is huge so it’s a really great value. This product is a keeper for me.

I LOVE this stuff! I have thick, wavy hair that is cursed with frizz and prone to build-up if I use shampoo with a separate conditioner. I was using a different brand that made both coconut and pomegranate versions of a co-wash that I loved, but it was of course discontinued. I started to give up after several failed attempts to find a similar product that my hair would love but was so tired of not liking the products I was using.
I finally came across As I Am, buying the smaller jar at first, and I was instantly obsessed. It’s perfection for my hair. It conditions without weighing it down and I’ve yet to experience build-up. I do use a clarifying shampoo about once every 2 weeks out of habit but even using that, I feel like my hair doesn’t get the “stripped” feeling it used to get. It’s like my hair is so much healthier and nourished. It takes barely any effort to get a comb through my very long, thick hair- where I used to have to use leave in conditioning spray to spare my arm. And when my hair dries it’s so smooth and light.
I’m also picky when it comes to scents. While this does have a coconut scent, it’s not the heavy buttery coconut of tanning lotion. It’s more of a subdued natural scent. Pleasant but not overwhelming.
I loved this so much I instantly ordered the 32oz version and have never looked back. I usually hate pump container systems but I have had no problems with this and you can easily take the top off to get every last ounce.

Love how this cowash works for my curly hair. It brings out the natural curls and doesn’t dry my hair or scalp. It is very perfumed though, but it doesn’t make my scalp itchy like most other scented products do. I really don’t like the smell. But the product really does make my curls pop and without any added curl cream. Plus my hair is so soft again. Wish they had a less scented product line, but highly recommend this one for natural curly hair! Thank you.

I had no idea what a cowash was until I heard about this As I Am product, I just knew that every time I shampooed my hair it dried out and I felt there must be a better way.
And this is the better way. For once I actually followed the directions and used a wide tooth comb in the shower to work it through, then rinsed it out and I could feel my hair being clean but also soft and conditioned. What a difference!
It did wonders for my self esteem too as I no longer had to wait a day or two for my hair to come back from the shampoo dehydration.
Smells great too and arrived in perfect condition to my front door. You now have a lifelong customer and thank you so much for developing this at such a great price, As I Am!

LOVE the product, hate buying it online. came and seal was apparently not fully closed despite having a sticker over the pump that did nothing to help and open container. photo is after cleaning everything off, there’s gunk and dried product on it and was on box and everything else (picture one)
UPDATE: they sent me a replacement after the review, and this one came so damaged it could not be used at ALL. entire tip is busted and spilled everywhere. (all pictures after the first one)

Where to start. Not the product fault! The box was left on an uncovered step, while expecting (and getting) massive thunderstorms, ~ think mushy bread texture cardboard. Only to then open it and find large heavy jar of product free to move about the inside of the box, with NO PACKAGING AT ALL!! Lid of jar destroyed, leaking very moisture rich cream cleanser everywhere. Lost over 1/3 of bottle. Breathe ~ NP, Amazon will fix this, Return damaged, new one shipped. Arrived 2 days later, same person must have been doing the packing cuz guess what, same thing, slippery fragrant mess.
Which I am suppose to now bring, unpackaged, as is, to the local UPS store for them to deal with the leaky nightmare, and I still don’t have the cleanser. Not product fault, it smells great and I bet works amazing, but I can’t say since the lid smashed both times and effervesced cream cleanser all over the box.
