Not shown in this listing: these brush heads have these hard rubber bristles along the gum line. They’re hard and painful and cause bleeding. Not only that, but for those unaware, with long-term-use, that can cause gum recession which is an expensive and extremely painful dental problem to fix and untreated can cause extreme sensitivity, and tooth decay.

Save your money in the short AND long term and just purchase the single sided one. It’s a little bit of an extra hassle to flip it over, but it’s better than having gum recession and pain.

I know it says kids my son is 6 and he couldn’t even get this in his mouth. It’s for adults it was just want we wanted simply too big for him.

My little girl loves her u-shaped toothbrush and this was the replacement head. Seemed exactly the same as the original but this one as cheaper. No difference at all.

Update: Few days ago Autobrush reached out to me and offered a full refund. I did not ask for it, nor was I expecting it. I was very surprised, and appreciated the offer. For that, I’m giving them 4 stars based on customer service alone.

My son loved his prior autobrush. The new head is awful and sharp, he refuses to use it now. I can’t return it because its been opened. 0/10. Not worth the money.

I bought the auto brush and multiple add-ons a year and a half ago. I do highly recommend auto brush, especially for kiddos whom are neurodivergent. There is definitely some improvements that I wish they would make. However, the new updated brush head is definitely a huge upgrade in comparison to the previous model. The nylon bristles from the previous model were not as soft and there was no silicone Bristles in the previous one. The old model really caused significant irritation to both of my son‘s gums, which caused a significant amount of bleeding that didn’t go away. The improvement of the silicone bristles at the top does seem to lessen the irritation on the gums, so we did see less bleeding this time. We will give the new brush head a few weeks to see if irritation decreases and blood stops. If the blood doesn’t stop then that tells me that there is another issue going on with maybe the size or something else. Kiddos don’t get bleeding with a normal toothbrush.

    Con’s:
    1. Sizing is very difficult with kids. It would be a huge bonus if the company created something that was super simple and easy to use on kids to get the proper size. Not all kids fit in the expected sizing. My oldest had significant issues with the size. So I have to purchase a size down.
    2. When purchasing the toothbrush kit all sizes of brush heads and accessories should be included. It is very irritating when you go to purchase a toothbrush and then you have to play a mystery game in trying to figure out what brush head fits and keep spending money to figure it out. It’s also kind of frustrating from a customer standpoint that not all of the accessories are included.
    3. Advertisement of the 9 to 12 year-old brush head was not accurate to the image shown. All of the kids size brushes showed that the bristles at the bottom of the brush head were blue. The 9 to 12-year-old brush head was not blue, but instead was white. For neurodivergent kids it is pretty important that everything is advertised accurately because the inaccuracy can really throw off a kid.
    4. More color options for the bristles would be a huge improvement for neurodivergent kids and neurotypical. Having different colors makes it easier to identify whose brush head is whose.
    5. More designs and color options for the base unit (especially for the adults/teens). The design and color of the base unit is extremely important in regards to motivation for a kid and identifying whose hygiene product is whose. The color selection for the adult/teens is extremely limited to two colors, which is very frustrating.
    6. Clear settings identified on the unit and in directions. The unit only reflects a light color to identify a settings, which leaves you to go to the booklet to read. However, the booklet doesn’t clearly reflect the settings based on the colors. The colors in the booklet specifically for the green and blue are so close that they’re almost impossible to identify in the book. If someone had color blindness or struggled with vision they would not be able to clearly identify the settings in the booklet or on the unit.
    7. New time settings: 30 seconds, 90 seconds, and 150 seconds
The 30 seconds is great for the tongue cleaning. The 90 seconds is good for a quick brush. The 150 seconds is great for a daily/deep brush, meets the minimum 2 minutes of recommended brushing time, and great for kids. I have found that the 90 seconds for the kids is way too short to effectively brush their teeth, so they do it twice. (Some) Kids need a little bit extra time to brush because they’re not constantly moving the brush that entire 90 seconds.

This fits perfectly on my autobrush

I love the double sided toothbrush head for my kids. the autobrush making brushing teeth enjoyable for little ones who may not like doing it. Just make sure you read the description of the product. I purchased replacement heads that were single sided instead of double.
