I like the product itself, scent is nice, hold is good. I have a problem with the mechanics of the container. I did not know with arthritic fingers I would have trouble pushing the valve down. It is not an aerosol dispenser.

It’s better than not having any product at all but still looking for a go-to hairspray that is non-toxic or less toxic than traditional brands. This doesn’t work well as a finishing spray. Since the spray takes a little longer to dry than a traditional spray and I prefer volume at my roots, rather than using it normally and having pieces of my hair clump together while it’s drying, I spray it into my palm and apply it underneath the top layer of my hair at the roots. I find this works better as I can spread out the product with my hands. Also, the product does get gunky where the nozzle and bottle meet but it rinses off fine with water. The smell wasn’t my favorite at first but I’ve grown accustomed to it.

I used to use only aveda products and over the years found other brands. I saw brillant aveda hair spray on amazon and thought I would see if it was as good as I remembered. It is !!! The scent is light and yummy. It has a light hold where I can still run my fingers through my hair and I am hooked! It is my ride or die from here on out.
update : the spray bottle clogs and dribbles large drops of hair spray on my hair in spots. had to switch to different spray bottle
