I have eczema, and it’s especially bad in the winter in Colorado. Aveeno’s Skin Relief Body Wash is what dermatologists are always recommending, and it works well enough, but I go through it like crazy, which is why this three-pack is appealing; it’s maybe half the price of buying the equivalent volume at the drugstore. I try to avoid buying on Amazon when possible, but it’s not as if Walgreen’s — where I’d otherwise buy it — is a model corporate citizen; you can Google it, they agreed not to donate to politicians who contested the certification of Joe Biden’s presidential victory, and then they went ahead and did it anyway, $25,000 to members of the so-called Sedition Caucus. I could, I suppose, avoid Walgreen’s and go to the locally owned drugstore, as long as I get there before they close, which is difficult to do, but then, I’d still be buying a product from Johnson & Johnson, which reportedly knew for decades that its baby powder caused cancer and sold it anyway. What is there to be done, by any one of the eight billion of us on our own? I looked up “homemade hypoallergenic soap” online, and the first result, though labeled “How to Make Bar Soap,” linked to a blog post whose author acknowledged that she actually tends to just buy soap, melt it down, and mix it with some additional ingredients: “From what I understand, to make soap from scratch it requires a chemical reaction using lye,” she wrote. “Now I don’t believe it’s actually all that hard, anything requiring me to wear safety goggles and rubber gloves is just not my jam.”

Johnson & Johnson gave to the Sedition Caucus, too — $22,500, I looked it up. Amazon gave $565,000. This is the world we live in — the world we’ve brought into existence. This is the world my child will inherit, and his descendants, and yours, too. I apologize. I’m as guilty as anyone, by the logic of my principled friend S., who believes it to be immoral to buy from Amazon — as guilty as the railroad barons of the twentieth century, or the media barons of the twenty-first — and if you’re reading this and considering buying the Aveeno three-pack here too, then, well, by the same logic, I guess you are, too.

I really like this body wash and haven’t been able to find in my usual stores.

I’ve seen a few similar reviews recently: I’ve used this product for a long time, but the shipment I received this time that has this “New Formula” logo across the top is definitely not the same. The first and most immediate thing I noticed was the odor. This is *not fragrance free*. This is a clear off scent to this product that stays on you even after showering thoroughly. I notice it, my cats notice it, and my friends have commented on it. Second, the body wash consistency has changed from a white / soapy output and application to a very clear liquid output that simply is not close to the same quality or feel as before. I unfortunately need to find a new product because of this “New Formula” change.

A very good product, which arrived promptly and without breakages – have no complaints at all

I get painfully dry skin in the winter and do not have the time or energy to apply moisturizer after my daily shower. However, I discovered several years ago I can maintain soft and non-painful skin if I use this at the end of my shower. I have not found any other body wash or soap that works like this. The scented washes have a lovely light scent as well.

Sensitivity to all perfumes and products that contain them is a constant problem for myself and other members of my family. Ecxema is also an issue. This body wash is perfect. It is truly unscented with a subtle soap smell when using it that disappears afterward. It lathers and cleans well so I do not need to use a lot. It soothes the skin and has a hydrating effect without being oily or greasy. It is the only body wash two of my grandchildren (both todlers) can use that does not aggravate their excema and we have tried Dove and other soaps. Three bottles for this price saved me some money. It arrived as expected, on time and was well packaged.

This is the only body wash we use in this house. All four females LOVE IT! It is great on even the most sensitive skin among us. It is gentle but leaves us feeling clean and our skin is so soft. I wouldn’t even want to try anything else. As far as the scent, well, there really isn’t a scent in this product. The other varieties from Aveeno (with fragrance) I have not liked. So I use this one and then after I shower I use Bath and Body Works Cucumber Melon lotion for a nice light scent on the skin. I really don’t think you can find anything better, whether you have sensitive skin or not.
