I really struggled to find a shampoo I could use in between using ketoconazole shampoo, and this is it. I’m having issues with my scalp, and this was great. It smells good, lathers good, isnt drying, and didn’t make my scalp itchy. My hair wasn’t tangled and was easy to comb out. I have very thick multi colored hair, this left it feeling nice and healthy.

I bought thousands kind of shampoo it’s doesn’t soothes to my hair I have fine hair and oily scalp and experienced bad hairfall while I’m taking shower. I live in UAE it’s common problem here the water caused hairfall maybe I’m not the luckiest to have healthy hair. But using Aveeno Apple ciger it’s same like miracle I noticed some baby hair grow. Amazing I guess I will keep on buying this stuff. Thank you

I wanted a shampoo that doesn’t contain PHTHALATES.They are a series of widely used chemicals that are demonstrated to be endocrine disruptors and are detrimental to human health. They’ve been associated with reduced testosterone production in men.
I wanted a shampoo that doesn’t have SULFATES to avoid extra scalp drying from frequent usage. I wanted a shampoo that doesn’t contain PARABENS, a mild estrogen disruptor with concerning environmental effects.
The first ingredient in this product is Oatmeal, it’s demonstrated to be soothing when used topically on skin. I have found that to be true when using Aveeno oatmeal based shaving cream on my beard.
I like that this product contains apple cider vinegar but it is not stated to contain Vinegars live MOTHER. It provides stronger antimicrobial action, it probably doesn’t contain it.

So without all these unwanted chemicals does it work?
I found it removes unwanted oiliness from my hair, but only when used a couple times a week at most. This minimizes an unwanted dry scalp, and the reactive overproduction of oil, thats commonly produced by skin, in its effort to compensate for the unnatural drying effect, when using ACV too frequently.

To PROACTIVELY compensate for this drying effect, I ADD 14 drops of TEA TREE OIL , and 2 teaspoons of additional ORGANIC ACV that contains its MOTHER’S live bacteria, to the STOCK Aveeno ACV shampoo. The TEA TREE oil moisturizes the scalp, helping to offset the undesirable scalp and hair drying effects caused by the extra ACV. The added organic ACV w/MOTHER provides enhanced hair clarification, and provides antimicrobial topical skin benefits. They are BOTH anti-inflammatory!

After washing using the custom ENHANCED ACV shampoo. I have experienced good results by using a small application of Acure orange and watermelon conditioner.
I also use Acure orange and watermelon shampoo All other days, because it has a similar, bad chemical free formula. I have found Acure shampoo is lightly naturally scented, gentle, and doesn’t dry out my scalp. It can be used daily without causing unwanted scalp irritation.

Aveeno ACV produces very little to no lather unless you rinse and repeat, but it’s still minimal. Acure shampoo shares this same characteristic. It’s probably a byproduct of the same missing chemicals not used in both products.

After using my MODIFIED Aveeno ACV twice a week, and Acure Orange & Watermelon shampoo all the other days, and both always followed with just a little bit of Acure orange and watermelon conditioner everyday for a year, It leaves my hair manageable, soft and shiny for a couple of days. Additionally my scalp condition has improved with less irritation and minimal dandruff.
This combination works for me! Because everyone’s HAIR, SKIN and ENVIRONMENT are SO DIFFERENT, your results WILL vary. I recommend giving these products a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. It potentially may work for you as well!

I never thought I’d be moved to write a review of a shampoo, but this stuff is THAT good. I got the same soothing clean that I’d get with an apple-cider vinegar rinse without the smell and without over drying.
My hair has always been “my thing.” I’m blessed with a lot of it and people have, in the past, stopped me in the street to comment on how pretty it is. So, you might imagine how I felt when, in the middle of the pandemic, something crazy started happening with my scalp–mostly that I could see WAY more of it. At first, I assumed it was the stress of nearly ending up homeless, but it was still thinning even after we got “rescued.” An oral vitamin B complex with biotin seemed to slow the migration a bit, but then I started to notice that my scalp was itchy and I had a fine powder on my hairbrush. [I’ve never had dandruff and never heard of dandruff causing hair loss anyway.] I have an appointment with a dermatologist, but obviously–these days–that’s not a top priority. Still, my head was driving me nuts. Apple cider vinegar (as a rinse) helped, but then I smelled like vinegar until my next shampoo. A clarifying shampoo helped less, but also dried my hair out beyond what a conditioner could fix.
And then I found this stuff!
Right away, I liked that it had little to no scent. I noticed immediately that my scalp felt more clean while I was washing it. What really made me happy was that, AS I was rinsing it out, I could feel that my hair actually felt clean but not stripped dry. My scalp looks super clean, doesn’t itch, and I haven’t seen a single speck of “powder” on my hair brush since I started using it (about three weeks/nine shampoos ago). I’m still seeing more scalp than I was two years ago, but at least it’s clean and the hair that’s there is clean, soft, and shiny. Yay!

I have what you might call grease-prone hair. I also have hard water, so it’s easy for residue to build-up in my hair. Not a great combination. I was researching products that would be helpful for both of those things, and I came across this Aveeno Apple Cider Vinegar Clarifying Shampoo. I was quite hesitant, since apple cider vinegar is one of my least favorite scents. Actually, vinegar of any kind makes me start to gag. But my hair was giving me a particularly hard time, and I was just desperate enough to give this a try. I figured I could at least hold my breath while using it. When I received the product I decided to take a tentative sniff first, just so I knew what I would be dealing with. I was definitely hit with the scent of apples, but the tangy vinegar notes didn’t follow it. I don’t know how they managed that, but I am grateful. It’s the sweet without the sour. I am also quite pleased with how the shampoo works. You don’t need a lot of it, and it works up into a beautiful lather. It rinses well, and leaves my hair feeling clean and soft. I’ve heard people say you shouldn’t use it too often because it will strip your hair, but I’ve used it multiple days a week in a row and haven’t noticed any issues with that as of yet. I don’t think it leaves my hair dry or frizzy at all. I do still have to wash my hair daily, but I don’t think there will ever be a product that will change that.
This may be a niche note, but I do notice that wasps seem to love the scent this shampoo leaves behind. If I know I’m going to be spending a lot of time outside that day, I will use a different product because I don’t want them diving into my head. Just thought I’d mention it.
