I suffer from moderate eczema in the Autumn/Winter and this year wanted to try and anticipate it rather than wait until it was too late, so I tried out this (non) soap bar after reading some good reviews, along with Aveeno Shower Oil and the Moisturising Creamy Oil. While I’m still starting to notice the first signs of trouble and am not convinced that eczema is fully controllable by soap alone, there is definitely a noticeable improvement in my skin in general so far, and I’d certainly buy all three products again.
The best thing to me is that, compared with similar products, Aveeno doesn’t smell like chemicals or anything too offensive – the sweetness of the oatmeal is soothing and uplifting. They also feel very good to use, the soap bar especially as it has a nice, slightly rough feel to it, which is again important to me after years of battling it out in the shower with harsh emollients and detergent based prescription treatments – ugh! Never again that horrific mainstream stodge!

The BEST is – to use for SHAVING – nothing works better for shaving – then AVEENO BAR SOAP – give it a try – you won’t be disappointed!
For both MEN and WOMEN shaving – face AND body…lather on – and shave – skin is completely uninflamed. I have not used ANY other shave gel/cream ETC – that even comes close to shaving with AVEENO….if i shave with ANYTHING else – I’m left with irritation. STOCK UP BEFORE THEY DISCONTINUE!…i HOPE THEY SELL THIS BAR FOREVER !

I used to use this bar soap for years when I was younger. Then I switched to plastic bottled liquid soaps. What I didn’t realize is that the ingredients in the liquid soaps were flaring up my eczema. So I went back to this Aveeno bar out of desperation. And I’m so glad I did. It has made such a difference (along with Purist soap that I also use.) My hands and wrists are almost back to normal after using these soap bars for a few months. This soap is so great for anyone with eczema. There is hardly any smell (just a faint oatmeal smell) and it definitely moisturizes.

This is a wonderful product for normal to slightly dry skin. It’s also good to use with your “lady parts”. I’m 65 and receive complements on my skin every week.
