Me estoy rasurando la barba con ella. Yo tengo una barda bastante dura. Y es casi tan perfecta como el rastrillo. La verdad le doy un 10. La super recomiendo

Many times over the years, and especially last year, I’ve tried to find a shaving solution that really works for me. I have a tough beard and sensitive skin, and I’ve given everything a chance that I can think of: cartridges, electrics both foil and rotary, and recently single-blade safety razors (3 different brands with several kinds of blades). I finally tried to settle on a name-brand 3-blade cartridge razor I’ve used a lot, but found it was causing more and more nicks and irritation, even 2 days into a fresh cartridge. Finally saw this Babyliss Pro and was intrigued, so figured what the heck, one more shot at something new, because the reviews are so good. I am BLOWN AWAY by the ease and quality of the shave! I just rinse and dry my skin, give it a minute or so to get really dry, then get to work, and it’s over and done in a couple of minutes. Minor irritation, nothing compared to a cartridge with gel though, and that’s just the way my skin is. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

One final note for you guys who complain that electrics are hard on the hair at the back of your neck or scalp – SHAVERS ARE NOT DESIGNED TO CUT HEAD HAIR! For crying out loud buy a good clipper like I did, or if you want baby smooth you’ll need to use a blade. Don’t use the wrong tool and then blame it, and write misleading negative reviews. Happy shaving people!

I had asked my barber what electric razor he used when I noticed his shaving was better than mine. He recommended this razor. I reading the Amazon reviews I became confused because some talked about it needing batteries and some said it was rechargeable. I bought the double foil shaver and I can tell you it is rechargeable. It also gives a closer shave than my previous electric razor a Norelco floating head type. The Norelco gives a more comfortable shave but not as close, which was more important to me.
Another point that is important is that this razor is for very short hair. This is NOT a hair trimmer. Some reviews have downgraded its effectiveness because it doesn’t do what it wasn’t designed to do. It is an electric shaver for daily hair growth. It is not a beard or hair trimmer, just a face shaver. In fact I had to manually trim some longer hairs (0.3 cm) on my face that would not get trimmed by the foils. Don’t go a week without trimming and expect this to clean you up.
The gleaming gold case looks great but, as others have said, it shows finger prints very easily and makes the casing a little bit slippery. A textured surface would be an improvement.
Overall, a good purchase with the understandings of it’s limitations and purpose.

I visit a barbershop twice a month to have my beard shaped and my hair trimmed down, as I like a tight-cropped beard that looks neat. Even though it’s called a barbershop, my stylist uses trimmers, not straight-edge blades. Nonetheless, I was delighted with the results of the beard trim as I am only marginally good at maintaining my beard lines as sharp as I like them. I did not know there was an improved way of retaining a closely cropped beard since I am a neophyte to having a beard.

I have been going for a beard trim for about six months and always see the same stylist. However, I had an interview last week, and I needed an unscheduled beard trim beforehand. My stylist was not working, so I reluctantly had to go with another stylist.

Well, it turned out to be fortuitous because after this new stylist had trimmed my beard and I thought he was finished, he surprised me by pulling out a silver device that my other stylist had never used on me. I asked what the device was, and he explained that it was a double-foil shaver he used to obtain a super smooth finish on his client’s skin as the last step in the beard trim process.

I was intrigued. Remember, my beard hair is cut and shaped with trimmers, not a blade, so the results are typically still good, but my face skin is not smooth. The stylist started going over my skin with the shaver, and I could see that this double-foil shaver was smoothly moving across my skin without a hint of resistance, leaving in its wake skin free of any trace of even the tiniest hair I could see. The stylist also ran the shaver over my beard hair to remove small hairs that might still be present. This worked fine and did not remove any excessive hair that I feared might have happened. After he finished with the shaver, I felt my skin; it was baby-smooth soft. It was clear that using a double foil shaver made for a superior beard trim.

Naturally, I inquired about the shaver and asked if I could buy it on Amazon. The stylist said absolutely, and he found the BaByliss single—and double-foil shavers on Amazon. He told me I would be good with the single-foil shaver, which cost about $100.00.

The idea of using a cordless shaver on my sensitive face and neck skin seemingly without irritating and achieving an impressive baby-soft skin result had me sold on the spot. Instead of shaving my skin with my Harry’s razor blade, which did not produce the best results because of my skill set, I could use this shaver on my dry skin and get impressive results.

When I returned home, I jumped on the Amazon app and pulled up the BaByliss shavers, the stylist-recommended brand. I saw both the single-foiled and double-foiled shavers. I had intended to buy the single-foiled shaver, but the stylist had been using the double-foiled version, and I was impressed with how that performed, so I opted to buy the double-foiled shaver. It was barely $40.00 more than the single-foiled version, so it was a relatively easy decision.

The BaByliss Pro shaver arrived at my front door two days later. I immediately pulled it out of the box and set it up for a full charge, completed within three hours. As I had two days’ worth of new beard hair growth on my face, I wanted to try it out, but I was not sure how it would perform because I had more hair on my face than when the stylist used the shaver on me. Nevertheless, the double-foil shaver performed admirably, and I was able to achieve the same baby-soft skin on my face; however, with the hair on my neck, I likely did not have the right angle, or I went with the grain of the hair instead of going against it that the manual recommended. Afterward, my neck skin was red and irritated, enough so that I had to apply moisturizer on it because it stung. That aside, the shaver had done its job well, and I had no noticeable hair on my neck or around where my beard had ended. By the evening, after another application of moisturizer to my neck, my irritated skin had calmed down and was not red anymore. But I will be more careful with my neck shaving tomorrow. I am confident that I can achieve favorable results without irritating my skin because the stylist did not irritate my neck skin when he used the shaver.

I hesitated to run the shaver over my beard hair, the part I wanted to keep. I was using the stylist’s exact shaver, but I fear that if I ran the shaver onto my beard directly, it might take a big chunk of hair, which would be a disaster. So, I will wait until my next beard trim appointment and confirm that I can do this without fear of removing too much beard hair.

In closing, I highly recommend the double-foiled BaByliss Pro shaver. It may seem a tad expensive, at approximately $140.00, but it is far easier to handle than a razor blade to remove daily or every other day regrowth. The double-foiled shaver is undoubtedly easier to navigate on my face, and I can achieve results almost as good as a professional beard trim.

I will likely still obtain a professional beard trim once a month instead of my current twice-monthly visits. If I go only once a month instead of twice, with the money saved on one fewer visit a month, I can pay off the cost of the shaver entirely in about six months.

If you want to make fast work of your shaving routine, whatever it may be, this double-foiled shaver will deliver impressive results. If you are still trying to decide, I suggest you order and try the BaByliss Pro FoilFX02 shaver. In the worst case, you do not think it delivers better results than shaving with a razor, or however you maintain your beard, you can easily return it for a full refund. In the best case scenario, and the more likely outcome, you have found a fantastic double-foil shaver that will make your shaving routine easier, and who cannot get behind making their shaving routine quicker and better?

A supremely good product. Easy on the skin and great for beard edge maintenance. Battery is really efficient and last a long time between charges. Highly recommended!

    Original review, Foil FX01:

Seems like there’s a bit of a misunderstanding with this shaver. You should use clippers or trimmers first and then this. This is for that last bit of stubble you want to get rid of (or just give yourself that 5 o’clock shadow).

I’ve never had a shave so close with even a regular safety razor. Maybe it’s just me finally getting the hang of a proper shave. I’ve shaved my face so close with this, it felt like my skin was silky, baby smooth. I was planning on getting the double foil shaver, but I’m not sure I feel the need, this does a great job. It does use standard batteries, but I’ve not yet had to put new batteries in this after a few months (and several shaves) of use. I’m very happy with it. I use my trimmers on my beard if it gets too long first and then this to get that close shave. One thing I’ve noticed is that this foil shaver will get clogged easily, so make sure you pop the top and use the included mini brush to clean out the “beard dust” or otherwise it will get bogged down and it won’t be effective.

The all metal design is nice, but not all of the shaver is metal, some of it is plastic with a chrome like finish. That’s fine. It does pick up finger prints easily, but I don’t mind. I’m very happy with it.

    Foil FX02 (added 6/20/23):

I purchased the Foil FX02 a few days ago since Amazon had it 20% off. I couldn’t resist the temptation to snag one. I’ve only had it a few days, but I’ll give you my first impressions and I’ll come back later and update the review again with more thoughts.

Upon receiving the package in the mail, I noted how HEAVY this is. Taking the FX02 out of the box I immediately noticed 1) it’s HEAVY, and 2) it’s HUGE! Compared to the FX01, the FX02 is a monster. Some of the reviews say that the top piece on the FX01 only fits one way, but the FX02 top only fits one way as well (I’m referring to the piece that holds the foil, not the cover). Right off the bat I couldn’t get over how large this thing is. I have smaller hands so for me, holding this is more like a half grip. You can’t really wrap your hand around it like the FX01. The battery came with a charge so I was excited that I could use it right away. The charger looks a bit like a phone charger but the cable is permanently attached. The cord is very long, and it is advertised that you can use this while the charger is plugged in.

The noise level of the FX02 is about the same as the FX01. It lets you know it’s on. There is a slight delay between when you move the switch and when it turns on or off, presumably because there is some smarts in the circuitry to cut off the shaver when the battery is too low.

On to the real test: how does it perform? I hadn’t shaved in 3 or 4 days (last used the FX01 of course) so my facial and neck hair was a bit longer than the FX01 would’ve cut. The FX02 made quick work of my facial hair. The FX01 does a nice, close, baby smooth shave for me, at least on my face. The FX02 is a bit more capable with longer hair, and since it’s larger you can cut more area at once with fewer passes. It’s a good deal faster to shave with the FX02 than the FX01. That said, there are a few drawbacks: The FX02, because it’s heavier and larger made my hand hurt holding it even for a few minutes. Perhaps I was gripping it too hard? With a gentle pressure on my face, I was able to quickly shave most of my face and neck to a nice clean look. However, it seems the FX02 leaves random hairs (like, a lot of them) on my face, and especially my neck. It’s not enough to be noticeable, but you can feel them, and that annoys me because I want that baby smooth shave!

With longer facial hair, the FX02 starts to pluck and pull and give you that pinching feeling like it’s pulling your hair. The FX01 simply passes over longer facial hair, the FX02 grabs onto them and yanks. Also, I noticed a bit of irritation from the FX02 during and after shaving on one side of my fast. I’m wondering if this is because the FX02 is new and my FX01 is a few months old now and has worn in a bit, so I’ll comment more on that later.

To be honest, given how fast this cleaned up my face, I am happy. The FX01 might actually have done a little better on my neck. Why? It’s smaller, so you can shave with less pressure and since it contours to the face better, the foil presses against the skin more. The neck is softer and more malleable whereas the face is boney and hard, so the FX02 does a better job on the face. That said, the FX01 is not great at neck hair either. Having experienced the FX01 and FX02 now, I think that the foil shaver should not come last, but rather should be the middle step between trimming (if your facial hair is long), foil shaving, and then a quick finish up with a good quality bladed razor, depending upon how well groomed you want to be that day.

I’ll admit, I never learned how to properly shave (I’m 37!), so I’m experimenting to figure this stuff out. Up until recently, I always used a blade to shave, even with long facial hair, but was horrified at how fast the razors would dull and get clogged up. With the foil shaver (and a good trimmer), I can get a decent shave in just a few minutes without using an expensive blade and shaving cream. So long barber shop!
