I’ve tried several shaving foams over the decades, promoted to men as well as women– and realized that none of them gave more value for the price than good ol’ basic Barbasol! It’s all I buy now, and I still see nothing on the market to entice me to switch.
It does exactly what it promises. It doesn’t leave product in the can (IF you’re careful to shake it *fully* before each use.)
It’s fragrance is pleasant, but doesn’t compete with cologne or perfume.

I like to read blogs on cleaning. Many times I had read the wonders the Barbasol shaving when used in cleaning. To be honest, we purchased a home where I could smell old urine around the jack and jill (kids) bathroom toilet. I tried so many other things first! Disinfectants, spray bleach, window cleaner, of course bathroom cleaner. It helped the smell at first, but after several days the smell would come back. Yuck! So I took others suggestions and used this shaving cream all around the base of the toilet. I let it sit for a couple of hours, then using an old toothbrush and rags to get around the edges of the bottom of toilet. Amazing – it worked in killing that nasty smell. Of course this makes a great shaving cream as well! But this brand is the only one cleaners stated worked on the smell, and it did work! Should of tried this first but so glad now I know. Recommended!
