I worked as a Counter Manager for a major cosmetic line, so I understand the importance of daily skincare and going beyond just cleansing and moisturizing. I have been fortunate to have tried and experienced many of the top line skincare products. In recent years I begin paying more attention to clean ingredients and started using one particular brand of clean skincare. I was anxious to see how my current serum stacked up against the bareMinerals. bareMinerals is a brand I am familiar with and trust, I have used their cosmetics in the past.
I used the intense hydrating booster serum for the last 7 days and have included photos of my skin on Day 1 and Day 7. The photos are untouched beyond adding the text and yes, I did spend some time in the sun during this trial week. You can judge for yourself but I can see that this serum has done its job! At the beginning of the 7 day trial my skin would start to feel very dry in the 5 minute time period after application of the serum and prior to applying my moisturizer. As the week went on that feeling subsided and I think it’s likely more of a plumping feeling I was experiencing rather than dryness. My skin looked nicely hydrated at all times.
The serum itself is light and silky smooth and absolutely a delight to experience as it made my skin feel the same. I do tend to have dry sensitive skin and I had absolutely no redness or reaction to this product. Honestly, the real secret to skincare that works, is being personally dedicated to taking the time for the self care of using the products twice daily.
Now for the only con for this wonderful product and the reason I gave it 4 stars. The dropper delivery system is terrible. It pulls up the product and each time you will get one drop. Then nothing after that but sputters, even when you can clearly see product in the dropper. And each time you are squeezing the dropper in the bottle you are sending air back into the product. If you wipe the product off the end of the dropper with your fingers and then apply to your face you are contaminating your product when you return the dropper to the bottle, unless you are washing the dropper after each time you touch it. For the $65 price point I feel this company could do much better with the applicator and provide a less aggravating skin care experience. Say perhaps by making this a pump bottle top rather than the dropper. The packaging and delivery system are as important as the product itself. I’d love to try the fine line and wrinkle product from this line, but not if has the same delivery system issues.

So I had gotten to the point where I believed that face serums were just a scam and did nothing for the skin as that has been my experience. Well that was before this and now I am a full believer that this one is worth it! Not only has it brightened my skin but it has helped even out some of the duller areas and helped some with the small lines that are forming. I am a 40 year old woman with combination skin as well as sensitive skin so often times will have issues with serums and creams. This has given me no issues at all since using it, even using it on the daily. A little bit goes a long way and this will last a good while, which is a good thing considering the asking price. Im not entirely sure if I will pay the price when this one runs out BUT if you can afford this than its absolutely worth it.

I mix this serum with my other skincare products and it doesn’t clump up. It is not too watery nor too creamy so it spreads and gets absorbed very easily. After using this for 1 week (1 syringe full per face), I do feel that my skin feels healthier and more supple.

I enjoy using this Bare Minerals serum. First of all, it’s great if you have sensitive skin. This serum didn’t cause any sensitivity issues for me at all. When you first open the bottle you notice that there isn’t any obnoxious odors attacking your nose. It’s heavenly because there isn’t really any smell at all. The serum is thin and white. It goes on smoothly and absorbs into the skin quickly. It gives a soft moisturizing feeling on the skin and feels really nice. I like using it. I think it plumps my skin a little, which does help with my fine lines. I think it’s probably going to take a little more time to help with the deeper wrinkles. I’ll definitely keep using it. It’s a quality product. You should try it.

I’ve been using this product for 3 weeks and I see a definite improvement in my skin tone and skin discoloration. My lines have lessened a little and I hope as time goes on it’ll work better. Obviously I have no makeup on in this pic and I am 63 years old. I must say so far I love this product.

This serum is so lightweight on my face. My face has been noticably more hydrated and soft. It’s buttery smooth when going on and easy to apply. The bottle and applicator are great quality. Overall amazing addition to my skincare routine.
