I had been using a very similar pomade that I had been purchasing from my barber shop for 3 years. This is a perfect match and it works so well. It leaves a nice strong hold, but my hair is still soft and pliable. Even though it’s more expensive than my last product, this is worth the buy.

Nice hold. Natural matte finish. Lightly fragrances. Easy to comb through or apply tasseled look with fingers. I wear a four buzzer tapered in the sides and longer on the top – can be used for clean part and finish for work or “messy” / tasseled look with fingers. Does darken hair. No shine. And it’s easy to apply “too much”. Less is more. Nice glass case – adds to longevity of product.

This pomade is seriously good stuff. Easy to style as you only need a little bit and it holds well yet does not give the spiky look other products will give you; this is best of both worlds. This is exactly what I was looking for, as its not overly obvious that I have product in my hair, but it holds!
The scent is also a mild lemon scent, I hate pomades, particularly a very popular one (you can guess which one), that has a awful overpowering smell, like a cheap cologne.
I have a mid-skin fade with the top of my hair slightly longer in a sort of faux hawk style (tho i hate the term). I only use a little bit of this stuff, like a tiny scoop with my finger, and its so easy to style my hair. Other products I needed to use more otherwise it looks as if my hair didnt even move. It holds all day, one day I was even outside for 10-20 minutes during noontime with a moderate amount of wind, and my hair still held up past 8pm. I didn’t even need to use a bit of water to re-style once I was back indoors. I have done this at night, and while it doesn’t make it look completely new, I think for the small amount I use in the morning, this does the trick pretty well and i dont need to re-apply.
I was worried that the amount you get is too little, but like I said, you only need a tiny amount, like not even a dime shape, about half of it.

I’ve been using this Baxter of California Pomade for years, ever since my hair stylist recommended it, and it’s truly the best I’ve come across! It gives me a great hold without being too stiff or greasy, and it keeps my hair in place all day while still looking super natural. Je prends habituellement la clay et ce coup-ci j’ai pris la crème coiffante (par erreur),
un peu sceptique au début à causes de mauvaises expériences avec les crèmes coiffantes des grandes surfaces mais celle ci fait largement le job sur les cheveux courts (2-4cm)
Un peu moins forte que la clay, mais suffisant pour tenir toute une journée
Appliquer une noisette sur cheveux légèrement humides et c’est nickel !
Même après 5 min sous grosse pluie, il est possible de remodeler, top
En consommation je dirai un peu plus que la clay mais en 2 mois de temps j’en suis encore qu’au début du pot donc c’est vraiment large

I love that it is pretty much unscented. There may be just a tiny hint of citrus, but I am someone who is hypersensitive to scents and it does not bug me at all. Think of it as fragrance-free. It is a nice natural hold, nothing too stiff, heavy or goopy. Easy to wash out. I hope they continue to stock it on Amazon!

Really nice hair cream, light to medium hold, smells lovely not overpowering, washes out easily, quality glass tub too. Very happy with Baxter’s Cream Pomade. Much lighter and easier to use than the clay
