I really wanted this to be a good whipped tallow balm. I tried it a couple of times, before and after shower. There is some serious grittiness inside. It feels like a salt scrub. Its possible that the ingredients are not well incorporated or expired and have crystalized. Not my favorite as it was hard to rinse off.

It smells great and does an amazing job at keeping my face moisturized. It’s worth the price for sure. I don’t even need a toner after using this product.

Although it claims
To be of soft consistency (like a normal face cream) it is in fact very firm — almost the consistency of a wax candle, so it is difficult to apply in any quantity. Again, it does not have the unpleasant tallow scent and it is not greasy at all — leaving no sheen on the face.

This is not smooth, but very gritty, like it has sand in it. You can see the little gritty pieces in the video and photo. They don’t go away or dissolve as you rub the balm in either. Instead I kept having to wipe and brush them off of my skin as the rest of the balm melted and absorbed in. I don’t know if this was a bad batch or what, but I’m definitely returning it

I suffer from dry hands and the use of lotion doesn’t seem to moisturize my hands very long. So I started looking for alternatives.
I came across this tallow and it locks in moisture way better than any lotions I’ve used before. The texture is smooth and melts into my hands evenly and has a pleasant smell. I recommend this product over lotions since I have found it.

I received my product very promptly, I appreciate the additional cover to make sure that the product is well sealed. It was easy to apply, and odorless, which given the fact it was whipped beef tallow, made for a more enjoyable experience. It was not grainy in texture, and was well incorporated into my skin which was great!

I’ve been having trouble with dry skin lately and haven’t found anything to help that didn’t leave a gross greasy feeling afterwards. This product absorbs into the skin very easily and doesn’t leave it feeling greasy. In the picture, I had it on both my index and middle finger. I rubbed it into my index finger already and not the middle finger yet. You can see how it makes the skin on my index finger look hydrated but not oily, even though you would think it would be oily from the way it looks on the other finger. The balm was so smooth, I was worried about it possibly being gritty from what I saw in another review but it absolutely wasn’t gritty at all. I love that it is hydrating and doesn’t have a scent. Scented lotions/creams/balms always give me a headache, so I’m grateful to not have to worry about that. Absolutely loving this product!

Love this, absorbs quickly, moisturizes for at least 24 hours.i have used on face and body. I did have a bit of grittiness in a section of the container. I still ordered more. Really love this leaves my skin soft.
