Purchased this 3 times to help break bio dental film and block cold sore growth. Worked great when it was dispensed from a pump. Thick. This last purchased came in a smaller tube. Very watery and leaks out of tube no matter what position the tube is in.

I did a plaque fighting toothpaste experiment, I will get to, here’s the background: I get cleanings every four months instead of every six months, because I am a plaque builder in my teeth. Going every four months is easier than a difficult cleaning. I use all the tricks, electric toothbrush, water pik, I floss if I eat anything etc. I faithfully take care of my teeth. Still I get hard plaque . I decided to try this expensive toothpaste for four months, then I had my first cleaning of the year. It was so easy, the hygienist hardly had to do anything. I could easily go for six months using this biocidin. She asked me what I changed?

The next four months I used my normal brand from the store plaque fighter. Time for my second cleaning of the year. It wasn’t an extremely difficult cleaning, but she did work much harder to get all the plaque. She had to use the water tool drowning me much longer, and then her meticulous cleaning with all her tools took the full hour. We talked it over and she suggested I continue to use biocidin. I agreed. I like the flavor, the performance, I don’t like the cost although it does contain a long list of natural ingredients. I decided it is less expensive than my extra-out of pocket appointment. Happy customer!

I was recommended to use this tooth paste by my dental hygienist. (She gets some sort of commission off of it if I buy it in the office so I was a little skeptical.) But I bought my first container at the office anyway.

I was absolutely blown away by how clean my teeth felt! It is has been months from my last cleaning appointment and there is still NO buildup on my front bottom teeth where my gums are receding. (Due to this normal buildup over time I have to get my teeth cleaned every 4 months.)

So with that said, that is why I rated it a (5) for quality of cleanliness… But my honest opinion about the price. (The company is taking us to the cleaners!) The packaging gives the illusion that there is twice as much in it. (Normal toothpaste size.) And for roughly $30.00 you will get approximately 30-45 days worth of toothpaste. (Brushing morning and night with careful use.) *Thus I am on my second container of which I purchased on Amazon.)

Thickness… is fine. (Not super thick more of a lite creamy.) Color is black which takes a little get used to. Flavor is very mild which is nice while brushing but doesn’t leave you feeling like you have super minty fresh breath when you are done. (I do miss the super minty fresh breath.) But the cleanliness of my teeth over the the long term is amazing.

I will continue to use this product and see how my next dental cleaning goes.

At first I was a little surprised to see the dark, sticky goo that came out, expecting normal-looking toothpaste but went with it. The taste is unusual but pleasant. Brushing with this does make my mouth feel so squeaky clean unlike any other toothpaste I’ve tried. Don’t wake up in the morning with a dry sticky mouth after using this the night before. I wasn’t sure if it was worth the price though, until I saw my dentist after using it for a few months. I’m one of those people who almost always has a cavity or something wrong despite brushing regularly. First, the hygenist said my gums looked great and to keep doing whatever I was doing. Then the dentist said no cavities and everything looked good! Still, I’m a frugal person and after the first tube was gone, I went back to regular cheap toothpaste. It didn’t take long for me to notice the change. My mouth just didn’t feel as clean, bad breath in the mornings again, some tooth pain returned. So I’m biting the bullet on this and continuing to buy this now. It is expensive but your dental health is so important and this product works.

You only get 3 ozs in this tube so you’ll be lucky if it lasts a month. Plus the constituency is runny, so it drips on you as you are brushing (and whatever you do, don’t put your brush under water first!). As you can see, you get about 1/2 the amount in Tom’s ( and Tom’s, like a lot of products these days, has downsized its packaging while still charging the same). Dentalcidin is $10.13 an Oz – if it was a normal size you’d pay $60!!!! Unsustainable and crazy! I bought the toothpaste because it has stellar ingredients and I need to brush after every meal but don’t make 6 figures so can’t afford over $700 a year in toothpastes expenses.

My teeth have less build up. I haven’t had my 3 month cleaning. To confirm just how effective this is. And I started using it a few months after my last cleaning. But I can confirm this works far better than any of the trash grocery store toothpaste brands. I’ve used. I had given up on the more holistic toothpastes. I’m happy I decided to invest in this one. I’ve since subscribed.

This toothpaste is a real departure from other toothpastes I’ve used. For starters, my teeth felt incredibly smooth after the first use, and I’m noticing more whitening than with other “whitening” brands. Also, I like the fact that this toothpaste addresses biofilms (aka, plaque) without fluoride, and that it is helping me have better oral hygiene. I used to have a chronic sore spot between my gum and tooth on the lower right side, and that went on for years–and which my regular dentist has known about and hasn’t been able to address (he tried to give me a toothpaste made by 3M–no thanks!). I’m so thankful to say that the sore spot is now GONE after 3 weeks of using this toothpaste. Try it, it will change how you feel about toothpaste in general!
