I recently received a sample of this product from my local esthetician. I noticed it had a strong gardenia-like or jasmine-like fragrance once I opened the package. I applied it to my skin and the oil itself was nice, but then I started to taste that fragrance in my mouth! Had to wash it off my face to get the taste out of my mouth. Totally unnecessary and likely a chemical-based fragrance! Thumbs down.

This oil is quite nice and leaves my skin with a beautiful glow. I’ve been using it in the evening after moisturizer and it really locks in the hydration. It’s in the middle of oils I’ve used in terms of light to heavy – it spreads thinly and absorbs well but does leave a very light oily feeling that’s gone in the morning. You definitely only need a couple of drops for your whole face, and take the extra time to rub it to warm it up before applying – it made a difference for me. The ingredients are all natural and it’s a nice oil in general.

Now, I can see why some people are so put off by this smell. Immediately after applying it the first time I got a strong whiff of a toddler’s diaper that’s been left on too long. What the??? Ah, turns out that’s the magic of ylang ylang. It smells overly sweet or jasmine-like to some, and much like jasmine, smells like pee to others. I guess I’m one of those lucky ones (though I do love the smell of jasmine). After the initial wave passes, it smells a lot like pink lillies to me, but without the respiratory complications I get from the flowers themselves. Like another who commented, I do taste it too, but I’m sure it’s just an effect of synethesia. I can see why that person found that taste and smell “chemical,” but this really is a natural effect of ylang ylang oil. The smell of ylang ylang is supposed to promote relaxation and relieve stress, and I can see why it was chosen for an oil like this, but everyone will experience it differently. I guess that is one thing that makes this product truly unique. Each time I used it the smell changed, one day was wet diaper, another lillies, another super sweet sickening flower, and then wet diaper again. I’ve gotten used to the smell with regualr application and don’t notice it too much anymore. The warming it in your fingers first does seem to affect the scent, so I take that time to warm it first so it’s more pleasant.

This is a nice lightweight oil that moisturizes skin well. It is an oily, so of course it’ll feel oily until it absorbs into skin. The scent reminds me most of lily of the valley, very floral. My previous experiences with ylang ylang have been very negative (usually I think it smells like someone tossed their lunch) so I’m not sure if this is just a ‘nicer’ ylang ylang included in this oil, or if the combination with the other ingredients just prevents it from smelling awful to me. Either way I find this particular oil has a lovely scent.
Because it’s an oil and makes my skin a bit shiny, I prefer to apply at night to give it plenty of absorption time. It has worked well for me this way and the relaxing scent is a bonus. A little pricey but I think it’s worthwhile for intensive treatment of very dry skin.

This is the most delicate oil I have ever used. It is so rich that two or three drops will cover my entire face!. In my morning routine, washing and drying my face, then moisturizing, I followed the instructions on the product. It did give my face a soft dewy look which is very hard to achieve on my older skin! It does have a light scent that is very pleasant but also is gone after a few minutes. I did reapply after about 8 hours but I am so impressed with this rich oil that feels so delicate! My face does feel softer and looks dewy, not moist but a slight glow! I highly recommend this product and it is made in the USA!

This Bioelements Dewluxe didn’t suit me as a facial oil. I like the light scent but couldn’t get used to the slightly oily feeling of my skin after applying. It absorbed partially but still had a slightly oily finish. My skin felt good the next morning but I just didn’t find the initial time after application comfortable.

I did find I loved using it on the backs of my hands and wrists after my too frequent hand washing. I didn’t want to waste it and found it seemed to absorb better there.

You really only need two pumps to completely cover your skin. I warm up the serum in my hands and gently pat all over my face. The serum does have a distinctive scent, but it is not noxious at all. I use this serum after my redness corrector, which I need in the winter and moisturizer in the mornings. It goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly. It gives my skin that extra boost of hydration that it needs. I have not experienced any sensitivity. I love all of the main ingredients, argan, squalane and sea kale. I have used them all separately, and am pleased to see them combined.

A few drops go a long way in adding the finishing touches to a skincare routine. The product applies smoothly over a moisturizer and adds that shine without a greasy or oily feeling. It feels and looks natural!

Should add its a nice floral scent.

    Overall, excellent skincare product

This is definitely one of the finer face oils that I have used – I am very pleased with the results! The oil is light and dewy, and it smells floraly and fresh. The dropper works perfectly with no dripping as you’re transferring it from the bottle to your hand or face, and just a drop or two will cover your whole face evenly. I use this over my moisturizer and when worn alone, it leaves a nice dewy sheen behind – it works really well as a primer to hydrate and smooth your skin prior to applying foundation as well. Even after wearing it for a few hours, it stays put with no drying effect – there is no greasy feeling nor does it pool in my T-zone. I love the benefits of the natural ingredients and it does not cause my skin to react (ie: redness, clogged pores) as others have, and it’s really easy to wash off thoroughly with a good quality facial cleanser. If you appreciate wearing good facial oils and serums, this one is a must try!
