I’m not sure I notice any difference in oral health with these so far. They do taste good. I don’t think they taste like apple really. They don’t taste horrible though. It is hard to just let them melt in your mouth because they don’t really melt. So I always end up chewing them up a bit then trying to let them sit for a while.

  2. Celiz

Terrible flavor, my kids won’t take them. Not worth it, go with another brand. And there are no returns

  3. Reviews I’d Want My Kids To Read Before Buying

First, like many dental products, NEVER use this around dogs, because it contains xylitol, which is a toxin for dogs. As for the product itself, probiotics require time to see if they are working. It would take months to see if this worked long-term to aid in gum-health, so I can’t attest to whether or not this works over a longer length of time. It’s caused no issues and it’s pleasant enough to use. The listed ingredients are fine, with no issues there, unless pregnant. Things like isomalt and other sweeteners should be avoided when pregnant or nursing. But the product ingredients are standard for a dental product, with added probiotics that are labeled as good for oral health, so I find nothing wrong with the ingredients. They just require care under certain circumstances and should not be used under certain circumstances, pretty much like with everything else. Over months of treatment, you’d expect to see improved gum health, and there is no reason to expect that you wouldn’t, but it would take around five or six months to see a real difference, and so all I can say is that this is pleasant enough and caused no issues, such that it’s safe to try for most adults.

These oral probiotics are great for keeping your oral microbiome healthy and in check. They taste good and I have definitely noticed an improvement in my dry mouth and in my breath when I wake up in the morning. I have not experienced any adverse effects whatsoever from using these and I definitely recommend them.

Seems to be helping my teeth & gums. My mouth feels better but teeth are still breaking. Will know better the longer I take it.

If you are like my family, you have never heard of dental probiotics. The bigger question is why haven’t we heard about them. We seem to think that the bacteria is for our stomachs and down the tracks, if you catch my train of thought. LOL

It’s like this, our mouths feel cleaner afterwards and they taste pretty good. Whether or not, there were some tiny probiotics working in there or not is unknown. Who knows but, it can’t hurt is my overall opinion about them. Even if they don’t work in your mouth, maybe they work on down the line somewhere.

Now, the price is $68 for a three month supply so, you must take all factors into consideration. If you are a family of one, this isn’t bad at all. However, a family of six would spend $136 monthly or $1,632 annually, give or take. Then again, how much would a family of that size save on dentist charges. This is, assuming they work and everyone brushes as they should. Yes, I know this is deep thoughts, from a shallow mind on this product. LOL

In closing, they haven’t caused any negative effects on our family and we are good with that. If anyone gets scientific labs done, let us all know. B+ rating and if anything changes, we’ll be sure to update this review. For now, keep brushing!

These Apple Flavor Prodentis Probiotic Lozenges from BioGai arrived as shown in the listing here. Each bottle contains 30 lozenges, so with 3 bottles that’s 90 lozenges total. The display box for each bottle and the labels on the bottles are full of information, which is something I like to see. The directions for use are to take 1 lozenge a day and to let it melt in your mouth, preferably after brushing your teeth. The lozenges dissolve well, though once the lozenge gets small enough I just find myself crunching up the last of the lozenge. The flavor is Apple with a bit of menthol to it.

Each Lozenge contains 200 million CFU of a L. reuteri Prodentis Blend (L. reuteri ATCC PTA 5289 and L. reuteri DSM 17938). I can’t say I’ve noticed anything much from these lozenges, however I do also take a few other probiotics each day, one of which is from BioGaia, so I do like the quality of their probiotic supplements. These lozenges are of the quality I expect from BioGaia, however I don’t feel these lozenges benefit me much. Perhaps these lozenges will be more beneficial for some others. Made in Sweden. Also, do keep in mind that these lozenges contain Xylitol, so be sure to keep them away from pets.

They aren’t difficult to take, but they don’t melt as well as I had hoped. I tend to chew them up a bit to get saliva going in hopes it will help dissolve. They don’t taste bad. I’m not quite sure they taste like apples. One thing to be aware of if you have dogs is that they have xylitol. That is bad news if a dog gets into them. My mouth feels fresher after using, so there is that.
