This would be the lightest feeling sunscreen that I had ever used. It would indeed be weightless and also of a moisturizer along with the SPF50 sunscreen! The fragrance or aroma from such would also be sweet in a sense and pleasant and not too overbearing.

It would be the fanciest of sunscreens yet outside the standard sunscreens. Be it might be a bit pricier it would make use and any coverage with sunscreen quite often a delectable delight. Who would have thought sunscreen could certainly turn into a treat of an action to partake in.

This is a reformulated version of the beloved Biore Watery Essense sold in Japan, and it is not like the original version sold in Japan at all. The original version is super light weight, goes on and vanishes without a trace, leaving only a slight glossy feel and a very light peachy scent. The original version contains bithionol that’s banned in the US because it may cause photocontact sensitization, but this was never an issue for me in the 10+ years that I was using the sunscreen. This reformulated version doesn’t contain bithionol, but it smells like all the other sunscreens sold in the US. It has that gross chemical smell that you smell in Coppertone and Neutrogena. The sunscreen goes on greasy as well. It’s a little bit better after it dries, but it is not any better than Neutrogena. Basically, the reformulated version is better than Coppertone but smells just as weird and feels just as greasy as Neutrogena, but it costs more.

If I wanted to deal with this gross smell and feeling, I wouldn’t have switched from Neutrogena to Biore 10+ years ago.

I wear sunscreen every day and I can’t imagine that I’ll have to smell like this every day. Eww.

I’m abandoning Biore and switching to Supergoop Unseen until I find a better alternative. Please message if you find a better alternative.

This sunscreen has a thinner consistency but it’s still easy to apply. It goes on smooth and doesn’t pill under my makeup. It has a “glowy” finish, which is fine, but can be a bit much on my already like skin sometimes. It has a pleasant citrus scent that I don’t find overwhelming, but YMMV. And it doesn’t leave a cast. Most importantly, it works. Many skin care products can leave the skin extra sensitive to sunlight and other products, but I never have any irritation when I use this sunscreen after skincare.

This sunscreen works very well! It has a faint scent of sunscreen with a more prominent note of lemon citrus. I am not very sensitive to smells, so I enjoyed it. It’s very moisturizing and cooling for summer, but you will shine. I love it, but if you prefer to be more matte, you may find this too oily/moisturizing.

I having been using this daily for several weeks now and I’m very please with it.
It’s not greasy or oily, it absorbs into my skin quickly. Sometimes so fast I figure I should add a bit more maybe my face is dry there.
It adds maybe one minute more to my morning routine. It maybe has a slight scent but it fades almost immediately.
I like how my skin looks after and my face feels really really soft now.

Formulated and Made In Japan. I have used South Korean sunscreens and my personal experience is that this Made In Japan BIORE sunscreen performs much better.

Here’s what I do to maintain my skin and protect it from sun and environmental damage: I double cleanse (DHC oil cleanser then La Roche Posay Foaming Cleanser) then prep my face, neck, and decolletage, following the several-step K-Beauty routine by applying clear, liquid serums of 2.5% Retino,l + Vit C./Arbutin (to fade dark spots,) + Niacinamide, + Ganoderma, + snail mucin with ginseng. Then I apply a layer of COSRX propolis-honey-royal jelly extract cream, then a layer of Seoul Ceuticals Snail Repair Cream (contains Vit E, Vit B5 & Green Tea). Before the cream layer of Seoul Ceuticals Snail Repair Cream completely dries and still feels slightly tacky to the touch, I apply a thin layer (two finger lengths) of sunscreen Biore 50 SPF.

This BIORE sunscreen goes on smoothly & is completely absorbed, without leaving a white cast. Most importantly, BIORE sunscreen does not pill or flake when dry and when makeup is applied over it.

On this skin protective canvas, I then apply a very thin layer of Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Make Up Primer. Then, and only then, do I apply my makeup. I try to achieve the So Korean and Japanese effect of a natural look in my daytime go to office/work make-up. I save the more dramatic makeup looks for special events/evening wear when the light is low and make-up does not appear too overpowering/glaring.

I have tried many sunscreens and the ones that are Made In Japan like BIORE, in my experience, are the best.

*****Cautionary NOTE*****: I have not tried this Biore sunscreen while spending all day out in full sun or while swimming. For that, I firmly believe you need to use a reef-friendly (approved in Hawaii) thicker mineral-based sunscreen, if you are serious and want to avoid looking like worn, cracked leather after the age of 25. Of course, it is never too late to start a good skin regimen. Start today. In a couple of months and even sooner, you will see the good effects of your efforts.

I come from a culture that emphasizes good skin care and protection from the sun (I use a UV-protective umbrella and/or UV-protective wide-brim hats during daylight hours. I am an 82 yo; people say I look 30+ yrs younger. I drink Matcha Green Tea instead of Coffee (which I think ages your skin because it reduces the amount of oxygen that reaches your cells). Take good care of your skin, eat clean, healthy foods, and be happy.

I’ve only had this sunscreen for a week so please take it with a grain of salt.

    CAVEAT: it has fragrance!!

That’s on me for not doing my research thoroughly. It is really hydrating so great for dry skin. It does not leave a white cast and it blends in quickly. It does have that sunscreen effect where you’re kinda shiny for a while.

The issue is I have really sensitive, acne-prone (and active) skin and it sometimes burns when I put it on. My theory is the days after I apply my actives (AHA and retinol), the fragrance in this can be quite unpleasant on my skin.

If you have normal, not very sensitive skin, and you don’t mind fragrance (does dissipate after like 5-8 mins) then this would be great for you.
