  1. Dwolf

Such a high quality oil and is USDA certified organic so there is definitely some reassurance and security there in the quality of the oil. Comes with all you need for easy application – eyebrow and brow brushes. Comes in a dark glass bottle which preserves the integrity of the oil.

The Castor Oil for Eyelashes and Eyebrows is easy to apply, it came with two brushes also which makes to great to apply to eyebrows and eyelashes.

Good castor oil for skin and hair. I looked especially for hexane free castor oil as I use it directly on the skin. It absorbs well and I have noticed hair growth.

  4. Yeileen

I really did notice a difference in growth after using this. I highly recommend.

I have recently started using castor oil on my skin for better hydration and its moisturizing properties. I’m slowly seeing the results, very slowly. However, I have been using it for my hair for a long time and can say that it does help make your hair strong especially when used with another carrier oil such as coconut oil, jojoba oil or argan oil. I do the same while using it on my skin to thin out the consistency and for better application. It smells like a regular castor oil. However, I think from the price point it’s a little expensive for a 1oz bottle.

I’ve been using this for my eyebrows and so far I’ve noticed a little bit of new hair growth. I can’t vouch for validity of anything as far as it being hexane free cold pressed and organic but it seems to be working and one can only hope that they wouldn’t put that on the bottle if it weren’t true so I guess we just have to take their word for it. But for now it seems to be working and it comes with convenient little applicators to help with spots like brows and lashes so that’s nice. So far so good.

I love caster oil and what it does for my skin and nails. This product didn’t disappoint.

I’m reviewing BodyJ4You Organic Cold Pressed Hexane Free Castor Oil, Glass Bottle, Hexane Free 1 Fl Oz.

There are some positives to this castor oil. Although it’s nearly scent free, it has a very minimal scent of castor oil in the bottle, but not once used. It’s nearly clear and has a thick viscosity in a good way (thicker than extra virgin olive oil). The label is printed with a USDA (US Department of Agriculture) certified organic seal.

It comes packaged in an amber glass bottle with a dropper lid. Shrink wrapped plastic was sealed around the cap to make it tamper-proof. Both the description and the packaging say that it’s bottled in the USA, but not where the castor beans originate.

Now the concerns. The description says that it’s cold pressed and hexane free; however, the packaging does not. It should be noted that hexane-processed ingredients are banned from products with the USDA Organic seal.

Additionally, the support email address on the bottle takes me to as site that says this domain is not in use. The listing sites BodyJ4You as the brand; however, the castor oil itself is labeled under the Caster Care Company name, which I could not find online.

There is no MFG nor EXP dates on the bottle. The oils smells fresh with no rancidity, but at least one of these dates would be reassuring.

Because of the viscosity and scent, this looks and acts like a cold-pressed castor oil, although, some I’ve used are more of a pale yellow than clear. I just sense red flags when a link doesn’t work and there’s no expiration or use by date (reflected in star rating).

I did find that this castor oil absorbed into my skin without leaving a residue. It took about 30 minutes to fully absorb which is my normal experience with castor oil.

Personally, I have too many question marks to use this close to my eyes or on my face, but I would use it with a wrap on my knees.

I find $9.99 to be pricey for this 1 oz bottle of castor oil.
