I love this hair cream. Has AMAZING hold, nice scent and even works when used alone — for me I get a crunch and SOTC (IYKYK) which I find has the best results. I have kinky/curly coarse hair.

I have hair that’s thick, coarse, frizzy and a mix of 3A and 3B curls, this product is gold. Is it a bit on the expensive side, maybe yes, do you need to use a gel after this product, no. I have tried dozens of curl creams from AG, Verb, Shea Moisture, Cantu, Moroccan oil, etc. None of them come close to the success I’ve had with this product. It’s on the thicker side but still a bit runny, if you have thicker hair like me you would use a bit more product. My friend has thin, very soft curly hair, and she uses less.

It smells like a salon quality product, it hydrates, holds the curls in place, no crunchy feeling, and no need for a gel on top of this. I could not recommend this product enough, I wish it came in a jumbo size.

I started using this product, Bounce.Me curl balm, about 2 years ago. I bought it at discounted price on a whim through an Ipsy promotion. But now I can’t live without it.

It has the best consistency of a few hair balms I had tried. It’s a little thick, and when I first opened it to try it I thought it was going to be a marshmallow cream kind of texture. It is a white color from the tube, but it definitely has a looser more wet consistency than marshmallow cream. Mostly I use it on my hair while it is still pretty wet, not quite dripping wet. If my hair isn’t wet enough I do add a few drops of water to the balm, just to help it work thorough my hair. This stuff is like magic. I have never had another product work so perfectly and give my fine curly/wavy hair a better staying power. It also gives a nice shine to my ringlets. My curls last so much longer! Before the Curl Balm came into my life hair products would only give me curls that lasted a few hours…tops. I can go basically all day without needing to dig a hair pick out of my purse to revive the body. Years aback I would make it half way through my day and have my hair go flat. I’d have to wet my hands in the bathroom and re-scrunch my curls with some water to revive them. Now when I check my hair in the mirror, it just wows me because this product really keeps my curls looking fresh. And a bonus is this, so if I actually sleep on my curls and cause them to flatten, all it takes is a few fluffs with my hands or hair pick and a fairly good spray with my continuous water mister and that’s all I need to revive my curls for a second day.

Typically I use a good base of Curl Balm coated on my hands, about a quarter size with a splash or two of water. I put the balm thoroughly on my shoulder length hair, making sure I coat on all sides of my head. (I do also use a light touch of firm gel by Paul Mitchell just at the roots on top my head, and a little Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam scrunched on the back of my hair). I let my hair air dry for about 10 minutes, then diffuse my hair to damp/dry while scrunching and kind of loosening up the cast.

The Designme Curl Balm made me love having curly hair again. Seeing that butter yellow Bounce.Me… bottle in my hair product basket… Totally gives me joy! It is truly a game changer and goes just perfectly with my hair prep.

I love this product! Works well and helps tame and shape my curls. Only downside, I’m not in love with the scent.

good product. It held and mosturizer my curls but arrived with dirt on the bottle. I don’t think it’s worth it for the money.

I have 2C curly hair, and it gets especially frizzy as the summer comes. I had been using shea moisture’s curling mousse for a while and it got the job done but it would not last more than a day. It was too light for my thick hair. So my hair dresser suggested a heavier cream. and I didn’t want to get a gel because i don’t want my hair crunchy. I took a chance and bought this and it is AMAZING. this stuff is really good quality and does exactly what I wanted it to. It holds my curls very well for a few days and it does not harden as long as you don’t put too much product in one area. My hair is soft and curly and not so frizzy! You get a lot of product for the price too.

I am not sure where I heard of this product, but I am so glad I tried it. I have difficult to manage curly hair and have purchased dozens of products over the years. This one did the trick! I applied a quarter sized amount for my medium length hair and raked it through with my fingers. My hair air dried perfectly. On day 1, it was a little stiff and “crunchy”, but by day 2, the curls were soft and pliable. It has a pleasant fragrance. I highly recommend it

I was told I probably wouldn’t find this item on amazon because this was only in beauty stores. Well I did and am happy that I did. Nice neutral light scent. Not masculine or feminine. Good price for a good amount of product. Would recommend.

This is a very expensive curl balm – at the time of writing this it’s over £40 which is extortionate. I spent, if I recall, a bit under the £30 mark because my hair was in a funk and I was desperate for anything that would work – and even then I think I paid far too much! For context, I’m currently using a £7 curl cream which blows this out of the water. It’s not terrible – I’ve used far worse – but it’s also not amazing. The price point is far too high for ‘just ok’. It does form a hard cast on hair (which is good for those who want a hard cast) but it is very hard to scrunch the hardness and crispiness out. I don’t think it helped with bounce, contrary to the name, and it’s very easy to overuse which leads to more lank and weighed down than bouncy. I noticed no real difference to frizz. But on a good day, it made hair look fine – not amazing, not wondrously curly and voluminous, just fine. However, at this (currently rising) price point I really can’t say it’s worth it when there are far better out there.

I have 3A curls and I was using Shea Moisture until I realized why my hair was so frizzy after using it. After finding out I had low porosity hair that did not work well with Shea Moisture, I looked for something lighter and found this!! This makes my hair look and feel so nice!! It also has a thin, gel/balm consistency that works SO WELL for low porosity hair.

This smells so unbelievably good!!! However, I do not like products that make my hair feel crunchy and unfortunately this does.

Ok I’m actually kind of annoyed that this works so well because it’s expensive! But the results are amazing and ultimately worth the money. I’ve been on my wavy hair journey for about a year and a half and I’ve always just assumed I had 2a waves but I used this balm and the bounce me spray gel and damn, I have 2c waves! The first time I used this the wrong way (thinking it was a gel) and was surprised how at the end my waves were still super defined and bouncy. Well I finally got around to using it correctly and the results are even better. Well, here’s to spending big money on good hair.
