The actual electric shaver works perfectly.
Every genuine replacement head I bought over the last 3 years is total junk.
These tiny holes (seen here) develop within 90 days as the metal degrades and it cuts your face.
Matters not how gentle you are handling the shaver, it still happens.
At first I thought it was a one off but as you waste your money on every replacement shaver head you realize the material is junk.
Stay away from Braun till they decide to fix this costly deficiency.

This item pretty much meets expectations but does not exceed same. No problem on installation but does not seem to shave quite as well as original new shaver head. Recently purchased cutter and screen assembly for a Braun Series 5. Did NOT really work. Cutter was OK, but screen assembly was not solid part like original and got bent trying to install it. Had to use an old screen. Have previously purchased same and this has never happened. Design of replacement head seems to have changed (for the worse). Makes me wonder, is quality slipping on Braun replacement parts or even on all Braun shavers???

The replacement head is very easy to install and fits perfectly on my electric razor. Once I installed it, my razor felt like a brand new one – the shave was very smooth and efficient, and the closeness of the shave was amazing. The blades are very sharp and powerful, which ensures that I get the best possible shave every time.

My first real job was working for a company that was a factory authorized repair service for Norelco, Ronson, etc. personal care products, so my introduction to electric shavers started early. The Braun series 9 is my second Braun, and after two years I started to notice I wasn’t getting the shave I expected. I clean daily and use a spray lubricant. After years in my youth spent recommending and selling replacement shaver heads I finally took my own advice and bought a new Braun cutter head even though the original wasn’t damaged. Noticed an immediate improvement in shave speed, closeness and comfort. You used to be able to buy a whole razor for what this assembly cost, but completely worth it in my opinion. My face thanks me daily.

This shaver is great but this part is planned obsolescence at its best. It didn’t last 2 months and needed replacing oh well, at least the replacement works great. But really how flimsy can you get away with, making a part inexpensive?
Get a replacement head immediately?
These don’t last…
