Don’t bother with the cheaper copycat versions. They are all cheap plastic that does not last. Only the Braun version (packaged in a Braun blister pack) will do, even though it will cost $20 or so more than alternatives. Those other options won’t last and won’t give a clean shave. I know from hard-earned experience, and I prefer a bargain like anyone else! But don’t fall for it, and don’t purchase from an individual seller. Buy only from Braun (as much as I dislike their markup!!). If it doesn’t arrive in a Braun package, don’t even open it – just return it.

this is a OEM part and fits perfect and works perfect. Previously I attempted to use a “as good as” knockoff which did not shave well, pulled hair, missed hair and the head was rough on my skin. My advice is to either buy the Braun new and in the long run you will save money and frustration

After having gotten burned on another site that advertised “OEM”, I learned my lesson in knock-off packaging. However, this item was the real thing and returned my Braun shaver to peak operation. Lesson learned.

I have previously bought two of these in the past. But they were cheaper, and not from the Braun store, and did not come in official packaging. I had bad experiences with each of them. The first one I returned almost immediately as it did not shave well at all, and it sounded off when I turned my shaver on. The second one was a little better, but not a lot. I kept that one, but after 2-3 months, it got progressively worse, and usually was very uncomfortable to use if I had more than a day’s worth of whiskers to shave. But this one, from Braun, and in official packaging, was great from the first time I used it. It snapped in place easier and better than the previous two, and properly. I had about a 3-4 days growth of whiskers I was shaving the first time I used it, and it shaved them perfectly, with absolutely no discomfort. And it did such a great job, I could hardly even tell I was shaving with it. This is the one you need to get for a replacement for your Series 8 Shaver.
