I’m in two minds about this product. I got a free sample of the line from another store, and it (the whole Briogeo system) makes my badly damaged, overprocessed bleached hair incredibly soft and manageable. The shampoo doesn’t lather too much or strip my hair, the conditioner is rich and creamy without being heavy, and the mask makes my hair so soft. I really like that the whole system is clean and “6-free”.
The drawback?
It. REEKS.
It smells sickly and a little bit rancid to me; I don’t know if it’s necessarily supposed to smell like that, but every single item and container in the line has the same scent, so it must be intentional. To be fair, the smell goes away after drying, but suffering through it while I wait for that is irritating. I solved this issue on my own by adding some perfume oil I had to the mixture, which makes it much more tolerable, but the fact that I needed to do so in the first place is a bit frustrating and certainly won’t work for everyone. I’ll continue to use this stuff because I like the results so much, but it loses 2 stars for me because of the awful smell.
EDIT with additional information 4/26: I recently received a travel pack of this system to take with me on the road, and the smell is COMPLETELY different–light and fresh and clean. I think Briogeo must use an oil in this line that goes rancid easily, which really bothers me. I love this line, but I still hate the smell and I’m even more disappointed that I have 3 huge containers of spoiled product.

I recently tried Briogeo Shampoo, and I’m genuinely impressed with the results. As someone who has tried countless shampoos over the years, this one truly stands out. If you are familiar with the “Yuka App” then I’ll let you know this shampoo scans good 65/100 without harmful silicones and that’s hard to find now a days in a shampoo. The fragrance is subtle yet delightful and fresh, natural scent that isn’t overpowering. It lingers lightly after washing, giving a pleasant hint of clean without being too strong or artificial. While Briogeo might be priced slightly higher than drugstore options, the quality makes it worth the investment. I would recommend the shampoo to anyone looking for a good quality, natural hair care product.

I decided to try the Briogeo products based on my Stylist’s recommendation. The smaller size has been a good way to try the product without laying down big bucks for the first purchase. This Particular formula is only OK for my hair but the size is a win for trial. I know now that this formula is a better fit for me.

I previously purchased the conditioner and hair oil directly from the company after watching a video I happened upon online. I was so impressed that I decided to get the shampoo. I am glad I checked to see that it is sold on Amazon cause you can’t beat the speed and free delivery. I will say there is one thing that could be improved and that would be the packaging. The shampoo and conditioner are so rich and thick they are very slow to come out of the bottle. However it is well worth the wait. I have like many other women decided to grow out my gray hair during the pandemic and needed a new product line to deal with the frizzies, this line works great. I am very happy and will continue to purchase this particular line of Briogeo products.

I 1st ordered the $62 combo for myself, liked so much I tried on my child! I loved them on my child hair as well! I actually use other products from this brand for my child’s hair ( not mine because I have very thick & curly hair & it would be expensive.. the product would get 2 uses ). If they started increasing the other product sizes I would use them as well.
I have high porosity hair, it was very dry, damaged, lots of breakage! I also pair with the hair mask.. AMAZING!
