I like all three of these products; the shampoo, the styling spray and the conditioner, in that order.
The shampoo is nice, lathers and cleans well, and adds some volume to my fine straight hair. Not necessarily the “sky-high” volume as described, but gave the feel of some thickness.
As for the conditioner, it seemed necessary to use a larger than need-be quantity for it to do its job. It conditioned my hair, but left it flat, which is counter to the purpose of a volumizing conditioner.
The best combination was to use the shampoo and pre-styling spray, and skip the conditioner. The pre-styling spray was good. It certainly did not provide the “lush blow-dry” as described, but did work nicely as a styling aid without leaving my hair flat after 10 minutes.
These are good products. The travel size is great, but the price tag is too high for practicality.
Saturnalia –
I’ve used some products from Bumble & Bumble before so I was excited to try out this 3 piece shampoo, conditioner and thickening spray combo. I have really long waist length hair that’s on the thinner side. I usually curl my hair on work days and give it a break on my days off. I used the shampoo and conditioner and let my hair air dry. That’s the best way for me to tell if hair products are working well for me. My hair smelled really good and looked clean and shiny but the volume didn’t change. I used up both bottles completely and the conditioner ran out first. I was able to get 5 uses out of the conditioner and 7 uses out of the shampoo. The thickening spray and my hair type don’t really get along. The scent wasn’t very appealing and it made my hair look more straggly and unruly instead of giving it volume. Overall, I think trial sets are a great way to try new products before committing to a full size. The shampoo and conditioner were really good products even if I didn’t get the extra volume. The thickening spray is dependent on your hair type and texture. On super long hair it didn’t work out but I can see this working great for shorter hair. I’m glad I was able to try these out.

This Bumble and Bumble Thickening Starter Kit has has a nice scent that is bright and pleasant. The shampoo lathered well and cleansed my hair and the conditioner was easy to apply and rinsed out easily. I don’t normally use spray in my hair and found the one included to leave a tactile feel to my hair so it’s not super smooth. But I guess that’s expected for a volumizing spray.
Overall, I’m not sure this did much to give my hair more volume. Maybe if I styled it more it would have done something. But I just used this the same way I normally use shampoo and conditioner and it didn’t make my hair seem any thicker or voluminous.

This is a nice trial set of bumble and bumble, thickening hair products. Volumizing, shampoo, volumizing condition, conditioner, and a thickening spray are included in the set. Depending on the length of your hair, this set can last you 5 to 10 days. The shampoo feels very nice and sunny, a little goes along way. The conditioner feels nice in your hands, but does not go far in your hair. I was told most inexpensive conditioners are full of wax, if so, This one feels very expensive. Personally, I think I prefer my regular conditioner; I had to use more conditioner than normal and afterwards, my hair still felt very ‘light but thin and snaggy’ all day. The thickening spray had an interesting smell to it; Not fruity, not prestige hair care, Just kind of weird. In terms of styling, I could not tell any difference with the spray honestly, except for my hair feeling more tangled at the ends. I use a hot blow brush to dry and style my hair. I do like a good set of hair products, but for me, I didn’t find these thickening to be my favorite.
Rodie Girl –
This hair care set is definitely a good way to sample the expensive full size products. I don’t think these did much for my hair type personally though. I found that the volumizing spray did the most when sprayed into the roots and the hair fluffed out afterwards. The shampoo and conditioner were just alright and had that natural/high end texture where they do not make the hair super silky immediately. Some cheaper conditioners will have the feeling of coating and smoothing out the hair but these don’t do that which I personally didn’t like as it took way too much product to wash and condition once. I think the shampoo and conditioner bottles lasted me about 3 washes personally. Overall not a great experience but maybe this just isn’t made for my hair type (thick and coarse, bleached the dyed).

Absolutely fell in LOVE with B&B Volume/Thickening shampoo, conditioner and thickening spray!!! Must have if fine hair. Makes it FULL, GORGEOUS, SHINY and fragrance is so clean and nice. Just bought the full size today. YAY!

I bought the travel size because I did not want to make a big investment, but I must say I’m very pleased with the product. It works better than expected adding volume to already wavy hair works well in the summer, especially when you are tired of fighting the humidity and heat.
