Look, I’ve had cold sores all my life. I never realized what it was until college and never used any sort of “treatment” for it. When I realized what a cold sore is and what it does, I looked into a variety of ointments to apply onto the sore. I’ve tried vaseline, neosporin, carmex, ABREVA, and this product Burts Bees cold sore treatment. By far out of all those THIS PRODUCT WORKS! HOWEVER. You must be able to identify the symptoms when a cold sore is coming. The sooner you notice it, apply this treatment and the sooner it’ll heal. Most of the time it won’t heal over night, usually takes a full week until the scabbing phase is at its peak (depending how you’ve cared for it) or it can be just a scarring (that’ll heal). I can’t recommend a product enough. Learn the symptoms and notice the early stages and apply this product however often you need within the day. You don’t need much depending on the sore, I myself do NOT rub the treatment on, but tap it onto the affected area multiple times a day (about 7-9 times, I know its a lot). GET THIS.

I was wrong. I originally gave just 2 stars. Now I give it 4. The reason being it won’t work fast like Abreva, but if you apply several times a day for 2 or 3 days after initially using Abreva, it works better than i expected to relieve the pain and chapping of your lips and definitely aids in healing.

Helped to soothe the discomfort, moisturize the cold sore in my mouth and the menthol really cooled the spot. Didn’t hurt as much after the application. My cold sore actually was gone the next day.

I cannot say enough about this Chapstick! To be perfectly honest, if you are disciplined about putting this Chapstick on every night, you will know longer need the cold, sore serum. I will only wear Roberts’s Medicaid Chapstick, and I’ll make sure to have one in my dresser drawer as well as my purse at all times. It is moisturizing and doesn’t need to be reapplied all the time. It has a very light smell, but very minty as well. When people complain about chapped lips are always tell them about Burt’s medicated as I truly think it is the best Chapstick on the market.
