I have never had a lot of trouble with my skin besides the occasional breakout. Now that I am in my mid-late thirties my skin has been changing noticeably and I have been having a lot of trouble with redness, dryness, blotchiness, and pimples. No matter what kind of cream or lotion I use I break out terribly after using it. When I came across this I decided to give it a try based on the positive reviews.
The first time I used it I definitely used too much. I also noticed the fragrance was sort of like old rose petals which I did not find appealing. However, the smell goes away quickly after application and is not very potent.
I’ve been using this oil for a couple weeks. Now I use 2 drops for my face and one for my neck which seems to be just enough. Within a few days I noticed a difference in my skin. It is softer and smoother and more evenly toned. There is less redness and it doesn’t make me break out like the lotions I have been using. That isn’t to say that I haven’t had ANY pimples but there have been far fewer to none. I have noticed that not all of the oil seems to get absorbed, so I might start using even less.
Overall I am very happy with this face oil and I will continue to use it daily.

Me encanta que deja la piel muy suave, es aceitosa pero se absorbe relativamente rápido, si deja una ligera capa brillante, por eso me gusta usarlo por la noche; tiene buen aroma y un gotero que permite regular bien la cantidad de producto aplicado. I have oily combination skin it doesn’t make me break out or anything. I sometimes use it at night after my skin care routine but what I really use it for is when it’s time to shave my face and I’m able to do it without irritation and my skin looks really glowy afterwards 🥰

This was a decent oil. For my skin it wasnt too heavy or too light i was shocked by the smell. Not good. I love Burts Bees products and they always have a pleasant smell. My favorite is their body apricot oil. Smells great. But this was just off. I wonder, however, if there was a chemical change in the product in shipping since my oil showed up frozen. Maybe once it thawed it became rancid like when you freeze and that certain veggies. Just a thought. I’m tempted to order another bottle and give it a try.

I am writing this review because I just purchased my second bottle! I have combination skin but it’s mostly dry! Winters are the worst! It flakes and there are dry patches all over my face! I tried various moisturizers including the ones with hyaluronic acid and what not! No product was able to retain moisture on my face for more than a couple of hours! Thats when I decided to try face oil! And this one checked all the boxes! I apply it once in the morning and it keeps my face moisturized for upto 8 hours! I never got any pimples or acne while using it! It absorbs very quickly! The only and only downside is that it does not smell nice! But it’s not a very strong odor and most of the time I don’t even notice it! Very happy with this product!

I have been using this product for quite a while and love that it makes my skin feel moisturized. I tend to have dry skin, and the facial oil reduces dry patches. People often tell me I look younger than I am which may be due to the use of facial oil

This is amazing face oil and I have spent upwards of 150 on stupid face oils that did NOTHING but break my face out. I am pissed for being so dumb. This is WAY better than expensive facial oils and is so affordable. It is non irritating, gentle, and mild…it isn’t oily even though it’s oil and the smell is lovely– not overpowering rose scent just mild.

I would like to give it 4.5 stars, only because the smell isn’t the best, but it is tolerable.
But even saying that, this oil is good… I think it is just the smell, that makes it more of a vegetable oily smell. Also, it is thinner than the other oil I used By the same company.
I have VERY sensitive skin and it will develop white splotches from dryness without any type of oil on it in the mornings. I have a job that puts me in the public all day, sou need my face to be on point. I use this oil and the Ponds moisturizer(blue top) along with it for a full day of great looking skin.
This formula is definitely different from the last bottle I bought from CVS. That was the first time I had ever tried it and then I switched to Desert Essence… Which wasn’t as good as Burt’s Bees’ formulas. But I waited until I used up the DE facial oil. I should have continued buying the original. This new formula smelled more like vegetable oil to me and I was skeptical that the bottle was from the manufacturer and just came back to check who shipped it.
I’m going to buy another bottle from CVS if I can find it and compare the 2. But I think buying locally is just better because Amazon has had some shady sellers before and you’d can never be too safe, especially when it comes to your face products. So, I’ll discontinue using this bottle until I purchase in person and smell the oil.
I still have my old bottle but I cannot tell if it is just that they have changed their formula since my vet first time trying them over a year ago. It was much more palatable then.
The bottle on the left is the original I bought. I noticed that it says complete nourishment facial oil and that one. But they both say that they have the rose hip seed extract oil. So, I would just like to compare. They probably do not even make the original which was much better, in my opinion.

I searched high and low for this product and I am so pleased to discover it on amazon. it came in a gift years ago and a little bottle lasted me ages. I finally found a replacement one and I like to use it once a day. it leaves my skin soft and supple. I love it.
