The smell is awesome. The volume you get is nice. There are 2 reasons that I am giving a 4 vs a 5.
1. Even after shaking the canister vigorously when it comes out it doesn’t appear to be mixed well. The color is not consistent and at times feels very sticky. When this happens my hair does not style well at all. I might as well rewash my hair and start over.
2. I am a believe less is more. So I start out with a very little bit and work up as needed. This canister is hard to get that little bit. After you get your first pump it wants to sit and leak more out. My experience is more leaks out than you need which means either there is product wasted or if you use it makes your hair heavy and sticky.
I do love the smell though and other products I have used by Cake. This could have simply been a bad batch. Idk.

smells so delicious i literally want to eat it. i have 2C-3A hair (wavy-curly) and it holds them SO WELL. absolutely no frizz, literally eliminates it. buy it rn, so good omg.

Loved using this at first. The consistency feels great and it worked well in my hair. You shouldn’t use too much of this though. It might not feel like much, but it leaves residue after your hair dries when there’s too much product.
A few months after purchasing, the nossle stopped producing product. I’d hear some air, but nothing would come out. Recently I had my dad take a look at it and he said all the air seems to have gone out of it. So it’s unusable to me now. Which sucks cause I can’t even return it anymore. They’s still a lot of stuff in it too. I did my best to take care of it and keep it out of sunlight, so idk if I just got a faulty product or something else happened. Next time I’ll try a product with a different nozzle. One that isn’t so difficult to produce product. A lot of other people seem to love this, so I probably got one with less air than it needed to have.

A friend of mine gave me a left over bottle she had because she said she didn’t like the way it made her hair crunchy, but since then this is the only mouse I will buy. It has an amazing, delicious scent and yes it leaves my hair crunchy, but I don’t mind that because my hair was so frizzy and looked horrible! Now people tell me my hair looks good! It has a really light, fluffy texture like I have never seen in a mouse before. I just squirt some into my palm and lightly spread around with my other hand and grab my hair in clumps and squeeze to get it into my hair when it is dry or even a tad damp. Leaves my hair looking healthy, smelling great and controlled all day and into the evening. Good price too. I just ditched the almost full can of mouse I had from another brand and switched to this,

Me and my brother absolutely love this! It smells so so sooo good and it works so well! If you use the perfect amount it doesn’t leave your hair crunchy or greasy. It comes out in a big foam bubble and it has a easy application. This is my 3rd bottle of this and i will continue to purchase this as well as the matching curl cream! Buy this for ur curls rn! (u won’t regret it)

I ama obsessed over Cake Hair stuff!! The more I buy the more I can’t get enough of it! The hold of the mouse is fantastic, and the smell is soo yummy! It’s really thick and you do not need a lot don’t put it on dry hair lol I had to add water, it made my curls POP! I love this stuff and soo happy I found it! My hair looooves Cake Hair products!!!

I opened my package because I heard that something in the package was loose and when I looked the nozzle of the curl-whip was broken and I had to find a way to glue it back into place. Didn’t come capped which was probably the reason it was broken.
It’s easy to use like any other moose from a hair store. It looks just like the pictures and great quality. The only downside was that it just came broken and was not capped in the package.
In the picture is circled where it was broken and had to be glued back otherwise the nozzle just keeps falling off the product.

I used to use the same mousse for a decade but hated the feeling of too much product so it was a hit or miss some days. I would try out hair milks but then they would be weighing my hair down. Curl cream would be too heavy and the gunky hair feeling was just not it.
Mouse works best for me but it’s tricky to find one that won’t feel gross and who has the money/time to try all of them?
I recently decided to purchase this on a whim since I ran out of my old things & I LOVE this stuff!
It smells so nice, like lemon cake and it doesn’t leave my fine wavy/curly hair crunchy. It gives me some additional volume all over, since my hair is longer and tends fo flatten at the top from the weight.
My hair feels moisturized and it smells so good, all without that dreaded sticky crunch that others can give
Even if you can feel a cast while your hair is drying, scrunch it out when its set and the crunch is gone. It doesn’t seem to let any stickiness behind, only moisturized and volumized curls. This stuff will now be my go to!!

I’ve used previous mousses back when I was in high school about 10-12 years ago and I always hated how crunchy and hard and stiff they made my curly hair. Lately my hair is thinner than it’s ever been because hard water has been wreaking havoc on it before I understood what was going on. I have low porosity 2c-3a curls and my hair is fine but has volume. Since I discovered that my new home has hard water I’ve gotten a hard water, showerhead filter, Malibu, hard water, shampoo, and conditioner, and I’ve been using hair growth oil and head massages to regrow. Since I’m taking a hiatus from heat tools and curling ones, I really really need to learn how to embrace my natural curls while it heals from the hard water damage, I wanted a moose that would help bring back my curl pattern because it’s stronger than a leave in. Let me tell you this product is amazing if used correctly. I think about a quarter size and rub my palms and then scrunch on the tips of my curls, When it dries out completely, not crunchy at all!!! It has a delish lemony scent and I’m floored this is a moose. I have never had good luck with hair mousse, but I don’t think I’ll ever use a different type now! As you can see my curl pattern came back for the most part, but I’m working on getting her all the way up to the roots and thicker!
