I bought this shampoo to see how it works and smell. It works really well as a pre poo and does not require water as it is liquid based and I love it because it does get the job done. The smell of it is not bad, but there are other water based shampoos that have a wonderful smell but this one is ok as far as the smell.

I used this shampoo on my starter locs after braiding and banding. The nozzle made applying the product to my scalp easy. The smell was pleasant and I liked the consistency of the product; It wasn’t too-drying. Overall would recommend.

I received this product and washed my hair on Wednesday. Today is the Friday after and I just washed my hair again due to it being so dry that I think my locs might start to snap. I should’ve read more reviews before purchasing, but purchased because I was eager to try a Carols daughter product (first time buyer). Mind you I’ve never had an allergic reaction to anything and am a healthy person. After washing my hair twice in the shower and rinsing thoroughly my lips and frame of my face started tingling. Thank goodness I didn’t swell and have to go to the hospital like some reviewers. After my hair dried I saw that it had been stripped and was dryer than it’s ever been (almost 4 years sisterloc’d). I used my usual Hydro-Locs moisture mist to calm my scalp. And put some moisturing mouse on my damp locs (which did nothing at all). I broke down and washed my hair again 2 days later using what I have left of my Hydro-locs Shampoo, hopefully this will bring some life back to my hair. I guess I’ll have to continue using my usual products, which are a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Carols daughter shampoo may be good for those that need a deep cleaning of locs due to buildup. I never had any as I stay on schedule for my hair services. This is a no for me, maybe 10 years down the line I’ll use if in need.

Tout d’abord, je tiens à préciser qu’il ne s’agit pas d’un shampooing de tous les jours, mais d’un shampooing que vous devriez utiliser une fois par mois ou lorsque vos cheveux sont très sales.
Il s’agit d’un shampooing très décapant si vous l’utilisez à chaque lavage. Cela dit, ce shampooing fonctionne très bien pour moi et mes enfants, nos cheveux sont doux et propres, il est important d’utiliser un shampooing et un après-shampooing hydratants après avoir utilisé ce shampooing afin de ne pas avoir les cheveux secs. Il élimine très bien les accumulations de produits et les salissures. Il sort de la bouteille sous la forme d’un liquide clair semblable à de l’eau, mais il mousse bien et se rince facilement. L’embout est très utile pour approcher le produit du cuir chevelu afin de le nettoyer en profondeur. Je l’achèterai à nouveau.

It is great for washing your hair during an emergency if you have not oiled your hair in days and yet it feels dirty and greasy, you can always use this shampoo for a quick wash to strip away all the dirt yet let you natural oils not be stripped away

I ran out of my sisterlock shampoo. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Carol’s Daughter Wash Day Delight was perfect and left my hair feeling clean and soft. I will definitely purchase again.

I love this stuff, it can be initially applied with no added water because it is a micellar water shampoo it lathers all on it’s own. Of course adding water is ideal, but not entirely necessary. Can be used standing up or even sitting in a chair! It’s not messy or runny at all and doesn’t drip. My daughter uses it as she’s learning to wash her own hair in the shower so it’s great for kids learning independence to use on their own. It’s way different and less messy than traditional shampoo. It does seem to have clarifying properties, so it’s not as moisturizing, but after using the Wash Day Delight conditioner which is a gel, my hair was moisturized with good slip. A very good leave in conditioner was needed afterward to maintain maximum moisture and I seal with oil. I love this set and I love the smell! Makes a great addition to your child’s personal care items because they aren’t creamy and drippy so the chances of shampoo and conditioner getting in their eyes is no worry at all. I will purchase again!

The best clarifying shampoo. It smells SO good and makes my hair feel so clean and nice after a wash. I have very hard water so my hair doesn’t always feel completely clean, but this shampoo fixed that issue for me.

I have been using the Carol’s Daughter Wash Day Delight for some time now. My scalp and hair always feel clean after washing. It also does not strip the moisture from my hair. My hair is moisturized and soft. I have sisterlocs, so it is very important for me to keep my hair moisturized, while also using a product that does not leave buildup. Also, the smell is so wonderful!
