  1. happy customer

    Good product

Purchased a Debra Doll while in cosmetology school and loved it more than my other (5) brand name doll heads. Was surprised to see these on amazon, ordered 2 to practice for my state board exam. Product is true to description, 100% human hair and fairly priced! Received both doll heads within a day or 2 after ordering. Seriously, I have tried various doll head brands even leading name brands but these Debra or “Debby” doll heads are perfect for everything. More accurate cuts, better lifting in color processing, washes and styles as though dealing with actual clients. GREAT for students, try it!

Used for my cosmetology state board & It took heat well . Slight shedding but not a lot

  4. Max S

There are a lot of little pieces of lint caught in her hair, there were also full-blown synthetic threads attached to her head. She had black fingerprints all over her neck too that I couldn’t get off. She was very frizzy when I got her. I washed her hair, conditioned, used a curl cream, hemi-squalene (this really helped the frizz), gave her a blowout and a flat iron on 180F and her hair looked pretty good after all that. She shed a lot during this process. She has a fair amount of grey hairs but that’s good practice I guess. It’s clearly real hair because there’s a fair amount of greys and color differences. I can’t help but feel kinda bad though because it came from Bangladesh and there’s no way this is ethical hair so if that concerns you avoid.

  5. Nazierra

It’s perfect for cosmetology state board exam

  6. Vera Kelly

Great mannequin for practicing hair procedures for state board exams

  7. Christy

This specific mannequin was recommended to me for my state boards. It was exactly what I needed! It’s not too much or too little hair, it’s just right!

  8. Kindle Customer

I purchased this for cos school and it didn’t disappoint. This is one of the best manikins I’ve used. It is real human hair so it can me cut, colored, and styled with hot tools. I would highly recommend this manikin if you need one for cos school.

  9. Sherai Nekohl

I love this Mannequin ! It helped me Pass My Cosmetology state board licensing ! Human hair very decent length , takes heat well !

  10. Barb M.

This is a very good mannequin at a reasonable price. I would consider this mid range as there are more expensive models out. I cannot compare because I can’t afford the “high-end” ones.

She has real human hair and her face doesn’t creep me out. She’s actually pretty.

As with all mannequins with human hair, it needs to be washed about twice before use. It will have some debris in the hair (dirt, possibly bugs, and unknown material) Just about every human hair mannequin I have ever bought has this.

I think it comes from the way it is manufactured. I consider this just part of buying a mannequin. Any mannequin. Consider that the human hair business is a multi billion dollar industry and well its up to you to research.

I also bought the smaller mannequin called Bridget on another purchase. Same quality only Debra is a little bigger and has longer hair.

She is great for cosmetology and barber students and licenced professionals to practice new techniques.

This is not a cheap Barbie head and is not exactly a toy. She will need a stand or tripod to hold her still. If you are considering buying for a child to play dress up, there are cheaper options with synthetic hair. Though it’s up to you.
