This product was carefully packed with paper filler and the lotion was placed in a sealed plastic bag to prevent finding a box full of leaked product upon arrival. THANK YOU for that.
I’ve applied a bit to a couple of places on my skin and find that it leaves your skin a bit whiter, but I am sure this is part of the protection as white reflects away sun rays. This does not bother me.
The CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen is not greasy, almost scentless. I will update in a week for protection in the sun and any other issues [if I can edit or send a follow-up].

When I first applied it, I may have put too much on because it definitely had a white tint. I waited about 30 minutes, and it was still pretty white, like I didn’t want to go outside like that. So then I got a paper towel and wiped my arms with it. And that seemed to spread it around more evenly, lightly. Then I thought like it was a make up artist and would they use that brush to move the makeup around somebody’s face and spread it evenly, that is what the towel did. I know it is still on and it feels ok, good. I may get a small cloth to help me apply lotion from now on.

Non greasy yes but not moisturizing either. It looks like a thin white paste layered on top of your skin. It’s not hard to blend in but it never blends all the way in. It definitely has a white cast. It looks ghostly. Embarrassing. I haven’t used it on my face so I don’t know if causes breakouts or stinging of the eyes. I didn’t experience any discomfort or rash just an aggravating white cast that looks smeary. I made the mistake of wearing a black blouse for an out of town meeting and it kept rubbing off on my shirt. It wouldn’t wipe off so I had to deal with these white smears and streaks all over my top and my ghostly white arms. Said I would never wear it again. A week later, I decided to put it on my legs because I was doing yard work, thought I’d give it a try again, smeary white ghostly legs, oh well I’m home no one can see me. Later that day before bed, I noticed my legs again and thought wow they’re still covered with white gunk. I had to rub really hard with a wet cloth to get it off and the cloth was covered in what looked like white clown makeup. I thought that’s it! I hate this sunscreen. I’m never wearing it again! I just ordered some banana boat. I’ve used that for years. I just wanted something maybe more environment and skin friendly. This was a waste of money that I can’t return because I didn’t try it right away and the return window even though I still have almost a full tube. I just assumed it was good because it’s Cerave.

I’ve got really sensitive skin, and this sunscreen gives me long-lasting protection. I like sunscreens with more zinc minerals because I don’t have to reapply them as often, and they’re better for my skin. This product has everything I need. It does leave a bit of a white cast, but a little goes a long way, and it’s easier to blend in with some rubbing.

After reading the reviews, I thought this would be a great sunscreen for my face, but it was too thick and I could not get it to rub in. It was actually embarrassing because the whole day I had a white face because I could not get it rub in enough. I tried multiple days because each time I told myself it couldn’t have possibly been as visible as it was, but it did the same thing every time.
If you like having your sunscreen show, then this will be fine, but if you’re tan AT ALL, you will not be able to blend it enough. It also pills up when applying and more after drying which is sloppy. In the picture, there’s sunscreen on my arm, but not on my hand to show the difference.
I would’ve given one star because I threw it away(couldn’t give this product to anyone) but I knew my review would not have been taken seriously with one star.
Cerave has a lot of great products that I use, but unfortunately this one was a miss.

I use and love Cerave’s facial cleanser and body lotion for extra dry skin and thought I’d give their sunscreen a try. I know it’s a common issue with sunscreens to leave a white cast, the darker the skin the more likely it is. That being said, I may not be red-headed vampire pale but I’m not too far off. I rarely pay attention to the part of reviews for sunscreen about leaving a white cast because it has never been an issue in my 35 years. This is the first sunscreen to be so thick with a weird texture, that it leaves a noticeable white cast on my pale skin, no matter how much I rub it in. That’s hard to do. I can’t even say much for how much sun protection it provides because the texture and cast makes me not want to use it.
If you don’t mind the feel or cast then it may be just fine. There are too many sunscreens out there, however, for me to continue using this one. It gets two stars instead of one because it didn’t really irritate my skin, and I’m not certain about sun protection. But with all the sunscreens in the sea, I’d recommend fishing elsewhere. Look to Cerve for other skin care.

I specifically chose this sunscreen because it was mineral based. I am fair-skinned and prone to sunburn because of a medication I am on. I bought this for a Florida beach trip and didn’t get even a little sunburned, even on the beach at mid-day. It blends well. My husband and I have both enjoyed it and I would definitely purchase again.

This is probably a good sunscreen but I was disappointed that it left a white film on my skin. I needed a sunscreen because of so many skin cancers but really would have preferred something that didn’t show or the skin would absorb . Maybe I misread the description because I would not have purchased if I had been a little more thorough!! Probably really good for kids or if your in the water or prolonged sun.
