I love CeraVe products – I use their face lotions and serums exclusively, so when my beloved Almay waterproof eye makeup remover pads changed to the biodegradable formula (which doesn’t work so I had to find something else) I figured I would give this a try. Huge mistake. This stuff is awful. I shook it up and used a cotton pad like the reviews said – it is really watery and got all over the place, but I pressed on and started trying to wipe my eye makeup off. Rubbing, rubbing – huge drops were running down my face and getting all over my bathroom floor, but the makeup wasn’t coming off. Suddenly I had this white film covering my eyeballs (scary), and then here came the sting. Omg OW OW OW. So then I hastily removed my contacts and started rinsing out my eyes with gallons of water, blindly grabbing for a towel to wipe it all off, only to see thru my burning and bloodshot eyes that most of the mascara was STILL on my eyelashes. NOOOOOO! Well, I wasn’t about to go thru that again, so I used an Olay wipe to get off what I could and started processing my return immediately. Woke up with my eyes STILL watering and stinging this morning. I’m afraid to put contacts in so it looks like I’m going to have to wear my backup glasses for the next couple days – over 4th of July holiday weekend. Yay. I hate this product.

This works! It is not oily like others I’ve tried. It’s gentle and does the job without smearing. I would recommend this product.

I have to rub this on my eyelids to remove the mascara. I like the fragrance free and moisturizing effect

Have tried a number of other products, all which left a greasy residue behind (or were very drying). Can’t believe it took me so long to find this one. EXCELLENT PRODUCT which removes all makeup and leaves my eyes fresh with no greasy reside and skin soft. (Even to the point where I could put on makeup immediately afterwards). Highly recommend!

Inexpensive as compared to makeup brand removers. Works quite well even for waterproof eye makeup. It is not greasy & is unscented. I couldn’t ask for more.

It’s hard to find eye makeup removal that isn’t oily but yet not too dry either. This product fits the bill.
The older I become the more sensitive it seems my skin is. This product is great for removing all eye makeup without drying my eyelids which then leads to a red breakout.

A little getting in your eyes is to be expected, but it’s uncomfortable if it does. I started using less on my cotton pads but then it takes two to remove my eye makeup. I might find a different product next time but won’t throw this away now.

  8. Stephanie Williams

This is the best mascara remover. It doesn’t dry out my skin and it gets rid of my waterproof mascara
