Has good hold, gives the texture I want. But I’ve tried for 3 days to open the pump with no success. I guess I haven’t found the trick to it. I just unscrew the cap to use. It’s too thick to transfer to another bottle.

My wife has been wearing a pokey-up hair style for several years. This was recommended by her hair dresser. Perfect for her needs. She runs a little bit of this through her hair and she’s good to go for the day. It does make the hair stiff enough to stand straight up. It’s definitely not for a flexible hair style. The hair is “stuck in place” all day. You’re not going to run your fingers through your hair with this gel but if you wear your hair up this is a great product. A little bit goes a long way- don’t use more than a few drops.

So many reviews on this that it’s hard to determine if it’s right or not. Bottom line is it depends on your hair. For me it is excellent and I experimented with over 10 gels. Strong hold and great smell. The only thing to note is that you need more for a stronger hold but other than that it’s fantastic!

I really wanted the CHI Cream Gel but it seems to have been discontinued. This works, has a good hold, but it is really thick and heavy feeling. Not sure if I will continue to use CHI products.
