By now I have bought a dozen of this Clairol Root Touch Up. I have 6 sisters and all of them have gotten this root touch up. Besides coloring the grey hair it covers the area were we part the hair, so there is no big spaces shown. Great value item.

I have tried sprays & mascara type products but always found powder root cover up the easiest & most convenient to use. I decided to give this a go as it was considerably cheaper than the brand I always use & I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. The light brown shade has a shimmer in the powder (usual brand is matt) but this is not noticeable when on the hair. Easy to apply & good colour pay-off that stays put until shampooed out. I would definitely recommend & buy this again.

This works perfectly for me and I love it. It covers up my greys so well, and of course they all grow right around my face. No transfer onto my pillow case at night and even in this hot, humid weather with sweating, I have no issues. This has saved me because it is sometimes a long wait to get into my salon. I bought 2 different browns and they both blend really well into my colour. People have commented that it is small but it really goes a long way! I would recommend!

I had another brand for YEARS, but I misplaced it–maybe left it at a hotel? That brand, which I can’t remember, worked really well, and it was not messy at all. This one leave a powder residue on the counter after using it. Wipes right up, but still a little messy. It does cover the roots, though. And that’s what it’s supposed to do.

It does cover the white strands on my black hair, but it changes the feel and look of your hair. It’s a dusty powder and it shows it after use. You would want to wash it out after using.

I read many reviews first, because I’ve always used sprays. I tried this powder, and was very surprised how easily it covered the grays and it did take a few minutes, BUT I had much better control on where it went, vs the sprays! Also, I use a light golden brown hair color, and went with the light brown, based on reviews, and it matches perfectly!
And an added bonus, I tried it also on my eye brows, and it worked so well! I didn’t get the definition of a pencil, but in a hurry, it was much faster! I’m very happy!

I’ve tried several other brands of hair powder and they never compare to this one. I use it for some gray coverage at my roots but I mainly use it to fill in the thin hair around my hairline. I’ve always had what looks like thin hair and bald spots at my hairline when I put my hair in a bun. So I use this powder to fill them in and it works so well. I’ve never had a single issue with it running if I got caught in the rain or from sweating. I mean if you stood in the rain a long time then sure it will wash out, but if it’s just a minute walking from your car to your house and you should be fine. I use the light brown color and it matches my hair color perfectly…. Which is a dark ash blonde/light ash brown color.
