  • Reduce flakes, Soothe Itching, Nourish Hair Follicles. This powerful shampoo clears away skin irritants while soothing troubled skin. Quickly provides relief for the scalp and promotes hair growth.
  • Dermazen is three products in one. Learn how it works in 3 steps: 1. Disrupt the Biofilm – certain irritants create a biofilm shield that protects it from targeted treatment. 2. Clear the Bad Bugs – Once the biofilm is removed, you can clear away the bad stuff easier than ever. 3. Soothe the Skin – Now it’s time to nourish and hydrate your skin without using lipids (like coconut oil) that feed the irritated skin.
  • We practice ingredient minimalism while following Mother Nature’s wisdom. Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Xylitol, Sea Salt, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Apple Cider Vinegar, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Nettle Root Extract, Green Tea Leaf Extract, Colloidal Oatmeal, Benzyl Alcohol, Salix Alba (Willow Bark) Bark Extract, Ascorbic Acid, Peppermint Oil, Tea Tree Leaf Oil, Rosemary Leaf Oil, Grapefruit Seed Extract.
  • There’s a reason your manuka honey gel, hydrocortisone ointment, and specialized shampoo isn’t working – they aren’t disrupting the biofilm (so they can’t reach the skin aggravator) and they use oils that feed the problem. Put an end to your dandruff nightmare and gain peaceful skin and peace of mind with Dermazen.
  • Are you tired of buying lotion, cream and shampoo marketed for dandruff, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and seborrheic dermatitis only to find out that it not only doesn’t work, but it made your condition worse? We were too, which is why we created Dermazen to calm the itch, eliminate dry flaky skin, and promote moisturizing for even the most sensitive skin.

I love this line of products, which really help my skin. The shampoo is effective at reducing itch and dryness BUT my hair feels dirty after I use it. So I do a two step wash, use DermaZen shampoo first, rinse, then shampoo again with a tea tree oil shampoo. It’s a lot of work on long thick hair but works.

This shampoo does what it says. However, I found it drying to my African-American hair. I now follow it up with a more moisturizing shampoo to give the balance i need.

I was a bit skeptical about this product working but after using it for a few months now, I can honestly say that scalp issues are clearing up. Ensure that you shake the bottle well before using to mix ingredients. The first two times I used it without shaking, I found that it was very watery and saw no results. After finally reading the bottle and shaking it, I immediately saw results. I also wash my hair with a clarifying shampoo before I use this product. I haven’t had that intense itching like I used to have before using this shampoo.

I was looking for additional ways to disrupt malassazea’s biofilm and dermazen has a very good one—xylitol. Also your product has the cleaned list of ingredients from dandruff standpoint, nothing in the list feeds malassazea.

Ok so I told myself I wouldn’t write a review until I found something that worked. Well I’ve been losing my hair close to 4 months now. My scalp has been hurting and burning so bad. I’ve tried numerous products. I tried Nizoral shampoo, rosemary oil, zinc shampoo, head and shoulders, vitamins such as biotin iron saw palmetto zinc pumpkin seed oil spearmint. I was very skeptical at first because it’s pretty expensive and the last thing I wanted was another product that didn’t work! I’m using the shampoo and the over night serum. I will say this product is kind of greasy. I have to re wash my hair with another shampoo after using this. I don’t recommend using the over night serum unless you have time to wash your hair the following morning because it does leave your hair greasy as well. It smells kind of minty. Overall this product does work and my hair has stopped falling out and my scalp is not hurting any more. Hopefully on the road to regrowing my hair back out! I will say the rosemary oil does help with hair growth! Don’t give up! It took me 4 months to find a solution after going to 2 drs and visiting a dermatologist twice with no help.

I wanted to like this shampoo given how much marketing I’ve seen for it, unfortunately it does not work. It made my hair incredibly oily to the point it didn’t feel clean even after washing. The smell was actually not awful, but for $70 I expect it to work.

After using this for the first time, I had no flaking for one week. This is a major improvement from having flaking two days after my wash routine. The more more I use it the better results I see!!

Let me start by saying that if you have seborrheic dermatitis, you’ve come to the right place. I’m sure that, like me, you have looked EVERYWHERE and tired EVERYTHING to clear up your scalp. And sometimes a new shampoo will work for a while, and then it…doesn’t. Issues come back, frustration and gnashing of teeth ensues. Enter: Dermazen. If you haven’t already, go to their website and download their free ebook. It’s worth its weight in gold. There are a lot of factors that can worsen seborrheic dermatitis, and they do a great job outlining different things you can do in addition to using their products. That being said, the science behind the shampoo is revolutionary, plus I find that the formula doesn’t irritate my scalp.

So here’s my caveat: Dermazen’s shampoo is amazing. BUT. In my experience, you can’t think of it as a standalone shampoo; I use it more as a treatment shampoo. Here’s my hair-washing process:
    1) thoroughly wet my hair
    2) I start by deeply cleaning my hair with Purezero’s tea tree & matcha shampoo. It’s a clean/allergen-free/natural shampoo with scalp-friendly ingredients that really cleanses my scalp and hair but doesn’t irritate it. PLEASE NOTE: I’ve tested it, and using Purezero alone does NOT clear up my seb dem. That’s where Dermazen comes in…
    3) thoroughly rinse Purezero from hair
    4) SHAKE the Dermazen shampoo bottle well. This is key to mix the ingredients up every time you use it! It separates and if you don’t shake it, it’s super watery.
    5) Work a generous amount of the shampoo into the scalp and use a scalp scrubber brush to work it in.
    6) let the shampoo sit for several minutes as recommended
    7) rinse well
    8) condition with Purezero tea tree & matcha conditioner (don’t get too close to the scalp)

The key here is that pre-cleanse with another shampoo; it helps work some of the dirt & oil out of my hair and then I find Dermazen can really get in there to “treat” my scalp. Initially, I tried using Dermazen on its own but I had to use 1/2 the bottle to get the right amount of cleansing and my hair still didn’t feel super clean. It’s a low sudsing shampoo which I appreciate, but I personally find that this simple 8-step process works best for me. 🙂
